Einstein Brothers Bagels

First time here and we loved it!!! My boyfriend’s cousin brought us here for brunch and it was amazing. I had the bacon egg white bagel and my boyfriend had bacon, ham cheese bagel. It was amazing. I also had their vanilla hazelnut coffee. Overall, our food was great and we are coming back before we head back to California.

After seeing Aubrey Gs. Picture for the nova lox I wanted the best example of one in the Milwaukee area so I reached out to him for his opinion on where to find one. Aubrey explained that nova lox is not really a Milwaukee thing and that Einstein brothers bagels would be the the best place to try one so I went over for breakfast.
The place was nice looking for a chain bagel place with real wood tables and chairs, yellow walls and high ceilings. The Coffey is self serve when they hand you the empty cup. The counter has five varieties of Coffey to chose from and I chose the dark roast. There is a nice variety of bagels and muffins with an assortment of sandwiches. There were all range of ages from children to seniors so they seem to appeal to everyone.
You walk up to the counter and place your order, they take your name and call you when it’s ready. My nova lox was ready in minutes and looked good. The nova lox comes on a plain bagel but you can pick any one if you want. It’s a bagel with crème cheese smear, capers, tomato, red onion and the thin slice of the cold smoked salmon.
The bagel was good with that chewy skin and fresh soft center. The salmon had a nice smokey seasoned flavor to complement the whole sandwich. I really liked how all the taste and textures played together and this was a great change for breakfast.
Overall I enjoyed my nova lox with fresh Coffey even if it’s a chain restaurant and I will file it away as an alternative to the classic American breakfast.

I am writing this review while in line at this location’s drive-​thru. I arrived nineteen minutes ago behind one car at the screen to order and one at the window. I am still here. There is still a car in front of me. I’m going to be late for where I was going because of this location. Now I’m trapped as there is someone behind me. When I finally reach the window, I’ll ask for a refund. This is pathetic.

I love their sesame bagels with a salmon spread shmear. Was there last week and had one and noticed what appeared to be a hair in it. They kindly refunded it for me. They have employees with long hair and no hair nets… gross

Love their coffee — especially all of their seasonal selections. The prices are a little high, but you do get a good price during their happy hour.

The food is good. The food is fresh. The service? That was lacking. I ordered a turkey sandwich with lettuce, spinach, cucumber and mayo. The sandwich arrived sans mayo so I sent it back for a side of mayo. It came back schmeared with onion and chive cream cheese instead. I sent it back again and it arrived with tomato. I picked the tomato off, noted I was missing my fruit cup, and when they gave me the basket with my «sides» they mentioned they «put in an extra pickle for my trouble». There was one pickle in the basket. This was not a relaxing lunch. Thank heaven I was eating in and able to correct my order. I would NOT recommend this place for carry out and I personally will not return.

I hate to admit it. But this chain Bagel Restaurant has best bagels. They are fresh and chewy and the customer service here is excellent. People are friendly and prompt. Its like my Cheers place…“where everybody knows your name.” Place I go to to get bagels quickly.

Consistently good bagels and most importantly, VERY hot coffee in help-​yourself urns.

I had some time to kill before my appointment so I decided to have some breakfast at Einstein Brothers. I had a hard time choosing what I wanted, but ended up going with the Apple Cinnamon Bagel with cream cheese and a small coffee. Surprisingly the line moved quite quick for as long as it was. And with as busy as it was I was surprised to find a seat, but I did! The bagel… really it was dessert, but I am entirely ok with that. It was kind of like apple pie and cheesecake, in fact I am looking for a recipe for something similar because that would be a dessert gold mine! The only thing that made me not give them four stars is that my coffee tasted burnt… like I got the last bit on the bottom before they started brewing another batch. But then again they are next to Starbucks…

I decided to go here again, even after a couple bad experiences. I am a sucker for a BOGO deal. This experience was not too bad. I ordered two sandwiches, both came with chips or potato salad and a pickle, and my total was $ 8. I had the California wrap. It was fairly large, and it had pieces of white meat chicken, lettuce, cheese, and some sort of dressing. The potato salad was very good! My friend ordered the barbecued chicken panini. The sandwich was huge, and it looked very good. The cashier was friendly and prompt.
Still, there is just something about this place that I struggle with. The menu is sort of confusing, and it seems like you are better off just telling them exactly what you want. I do want to go back and try the pumpkin bagel. As far as lunch items go, I will wait and see if I get another BOGO.

I waited over 20 minutes for a sandwich one morning. People who ordered after me were getting their food. I finally got fed up and asked for my money back. The cashier was so nice, but the manager she went to wasn’t. The manager told the cashier that she was too busy helping customers to come refund me my money. I had to wait almost 10 more minutes just to get a refund. I’m never going back there. Too bad.
