Helping Hand Thrift Shop

The shop is closed. It had a fire in May and the organization that operated it decided it would remain closed.

The Helping Hand is a pretty nice thrift store. Although I have yet to purchase anything from them, I’d still be willing to go there again.
From what I saw, their clothes are mostly from grandma’s closet and aren’t that modern. However, their shoe/​belt selection is very nice! They also have a nice selection of books and magazines.
I didn’t have to deal with any of their staff, but I assume they’re alright.
The only thing that sort of throws me off about the Helping Hand is the location. It’s somewhat difficult to get to if you don’t know the area that well. (Depending on where you’re coming from, you’ll have to go through the traffic circle/​five corners.)
All in all, I’d have to visit this shop again to make a better judgement of it. I’m actually quite looking forward to revisiting the shop because of their book selection.

I read in a previous review that this place is under new managment which explains it all. I have not been in this place in at least 5 years. before it was not so great… today I went to drop off some things to donate and found myself browsing. I bought a Larry Levine 2 pc suit brand new, a Talbots dress and a J Crew cardigan all under $ 17! I couldnt get over it! I will forsure start making frequent visits from now on! Im a fan!

I really liked this thrift store. I came in to look for items for my house and left with quite a few. Got some great bell jar. They had great book selection and the books were in excellent condition. Worth the price, as the prices were more than you would normally see in a thrift store. Great little items. Definitely seems like a place that should be frequented.

A community-​based thrift shop and the proceeds benefit the programs and services at Helping Hand. I’m a regular, great staff, many bargains to be had.

The new manager is working wonders in this shop! Merchandise is more organized and displayed more attractively. The checkout has been moved from the front to the center of the store (first room). The store also has some new Benetton clothing and shoes.
