First time coming to Hive and I loved it! I always have my hair long and decided it was time for a change. David was amazing! Definitely coming back.

Called for an appointment several times, kept getting their answering machine. I finally left a message and no one ever called back. I guess they don’t need the business!

I am a new client who is pretty new in Wisconsin. I struggle with many health issues which cause me to take many meds, including immune suppression meds. These meds have made my hair thin and cause hair loss among many other issues. I walked-​in a hot mess and both Chris and Sia were very welcoming and made me feel comfortable and they together analized what best worked for my situation. They both are extremely talented, caring and kind. They are a wonderful team and I recommend them to anyone!
Sia did my hair and she did an Amazing job and she is a sweetheart.
I love my haircut, color and style!!! :)

I have always wanted to do something alittle different with my hair color. let Sia and Chris make the choice for me… it’s just great went lighter… love the way it turned out!!! Have had alot of compliments and the products used didn’t make my hair feel dry or brittle. If you want a great hair experience this is the place to go… a salon I will be going to from now on…

When you first walk in to Hive — you might think you’re backstage at a Rock Concert. Because quite simply Chris, with his tattoos and rocker jewelry and personality embodies the Rock N Roll, Rolling Stone lifestyle.
Now I’ve been to salons before. I’ve paid a lot of money and little money. I’ve had «Master» Stylist and I’ve had your everyday cosmetologist cut my hair…
The funny thing though is in over 37 years of haircuts and styles — not one of them approached my hair the same way Chris did.
In minutes Chris was able to look at my hair and explain to me how to leverage and work with my hair and my physique. It was far more than just a cut, wash, and wax (think product here).
Chris is a master at his craft a true artist, and your head/​hair is his canvas.
For some… Chris’s personality may not be your cup of tea (yes Chris is loud, yes he might drop a few tasteful f-​bombs) but it’ll be your loss. Because, I can promise you that Chris will make you feel comfortable and like family in minutes and he knows his business better than you can imagine.
Also for the record — I brought my 3 ½ year old boy Aidan to Chris. Not only does Chris know how to cut men’s hair like nobody’s business (and I’m told he’s real magic is in color) but he can cut and style a kids hair like a ninja.
In minutes he had Aidan smiling and comfortable and once again his knowledge of style and trends and techniques shown through.
Do yourself a favor… Call now to get your name on Chris and Sia’s schedules, because I can promise you — they don’t have any openings for tomorrow, you’re going to need to act now to get in by December. And the wait…
Will be worth it.

This salon is awesome! Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make you feel like you’re getting your hair done at your friends place. The first time Chris did a great cut and color. The second time Sia did a great cut and styled my hair beautifully for an event. The only problem may be getting in to get an appointment!

Had a recent disaster cut/​color that I didn’t think was fixable. Read the Unilocal reviews about Hive and took a chance hoping they’d take pity on me and get me in before the new year. Sia is amazing! She came in on her day off and worked a miracle! Loved the cut AND color that she did for me. Sia and Chris are fun and friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to go back again!

Went here for the first time a week or so ago. I normally go to a salon about an hour away, so I’ve been looking for a salon much closer to my place. Truth be told, I tried The Hive because of a Living Social deal. I had already heard great things, so I was looking forward to my appt. Not going to lie to you, the atmosphere is definitely different than a typical salon… it’s one small room in a cluster of other salons set up in a similar fashion. So if you are the shy type and like a very personal service – this is not the place for you! I personally found it pretty cool that everyone conversed with each other. Nevertheless, Mya did my hair and she was great! Gave me exactly what I wanted, made good conversation, and never once tried to sell me products (I hate when stylists do that!). My next appt is already booked – something I normally don’t do! Highly recommend! :)

Lets just say I walked into this place super crabby after having a terrible day and I walked out feeling like a million bucks! Chris is awesome, being a new client he made me feel really comfortable. I have never written a review for anything but I felt he 100% deserved this good review. The cut was amazing, what a difference from your typical hair salon. I will definitely be returning!

This place is awesome! I received the BEST color and cut I’ve had in years! My color and cut had been badly messed up by another salon. I walked in a hot mess and Chris did an AMAZING job at fixing everything! Everyone takes their time and truly do a tremendous job! I would recommend this place HANDS DOWN over anywhere else in the area!

I have been to a million saloons… I have to say that I have finally found my place. Chris does an excellent job!

I was visiting from LA and got a last minute invite to a black tie event in Milwaukee. Thru Unilocal I found Hive and am I ever happy I did. Sia and Chris created the totally sexy, beachy look I wanted. It’ll be expensive, but I’ll have to fly in from now on when I need to get my hair done! Not only great hair, but Sia and Chris are way cool. It was the best experience. I can’t recommend them enough!

For someone who’s given up on hair salons and resorts to cutting his own, this place makes me feel at home. Chris is an enjoyable character and amazing at his trade. Have a date tomorrow night and I think the new do will go over very well. Guys, if you think salons are for chicks, you’re wrong. You’ve gotta try Hive and ask for Chris.

I’ve been to Hive for my last three hair cuts. Prior to that I use to get my hair cut by Chris at another salon, so when he started his new place with his wife I was in. Chris is a top notch stylist /​barber. I can only speak to the barber side of things (a guys haircut) but I do know they offer a wide range of salon services. I gotta say personality and service are very important to me and when I get my hair cut there its more like hanging out with friends than other places I’ve been, which is why I keep going back. I would recommend Hive to anyone looking for a quality services by genuinely good folks. Give them a try you won’t be disappointed.
