I’ve always had a great experience with Dr Post and his staff. I’ve been going there for about 4 years and have not had a bad appointment. My wife now goes there as well!

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Post for the last 3 years, and we have always had a great experience. My previous dentist was part of a mega-corporate dental group with 20+ dentists that never seemed to give much personal attention to their patients, except when it came to recommending expensive procedures and«treatments.» Dr. Post runs his office differently: He performs all of the dental care for his patients himself and really got to know me and my wife. He personally performed all dental cleanings, X-rays, and other procedures that we’ve needed. Rather than seeing a hygienist for 30 minutes followed by a 2 minute«check» by the dentist afterwards, Dr. Post spent the entire appointment with each of us every time. His office staff is small, and I don’t think he even has a hygienist on staff; he insists on doing everything himself. It’s great knowing that nothing is getting missed by the inexperienced hands of a hurried hygienist. I know there’s more to dentistry than bedside manner, but I think it’s particularly important considering the fear most folks have of visiting the dentist. He took time to get to know us and never seemed to be in a hurry. He always made sure we were comfortable during the cleanings and the few procedures we needed, never questioning«are you SURE you can feel that?» or doubting pain or discomfort like other dentists I’ve seen have done. Regarding his technical skills as a dentist, when I first went to him in 2012, I had just moved to the Milwaukee area from Indianapolis. The previous«mega-corporate» dental group in Indiana said I needed several thousand dollars worth of work, including root canals. Dr. Post performed his own assessment and concluded that much of what had been recommended was unnecessary and excessive. Fast forward a few months and a few fillings… my mouth felt great and the x-rays looked pristine. Dr. Post performed a few quick«drill & fills» and I didn’t need any root canals. He saved me from the pain, time off from work, and expense of all of those procedures, and I’ve had healthy teeth and gums ever since. Two really great things about Dr. Post’s office: 1. He has Saturday hours a few times per month(hard to get those appointments — we needed to schedule them a few months in advance). 2. When I was sick with what turned out to be a sinus infection(but I thought was a dental abscess since my upper gum-line was hurting), he fit me in to examine me on the same day. Even though it turned out not to be a dental problem, he was flexible and happy to have me come in. He started antibiotics and I was feeling better by the next morning. My own primary care doctor couldn’t get me in until days later!
