Have had trouble with my pricey/expensive Millennium Oreck since I first purchased it in 2013, Seems we are taking it in fairly often to be fixed – as something is always breaking on it. At least its covered under warranty. We had a commercial Oreck prior to the Millennium and it lasted for over 25+ yrs without a problem. I didn’t do my homework and just relied on the Oreck name when I needed a new vacuum. Would not recommend purchasing anything from this Oreck store or even purchasing an Oreck product anymore. This is 2015, a vacuum is not rocket science. There must be some other vacuum cleaner brand out there worthy of the price. Their brand name that doesn’t cut it any longer! The new Assistant Manager at the Brookfield store has an attitude! Told her that the Millennium didn’t pick up cat hair and it just blew it back into the air. The vacuum has been doing this the last few times we taken it in only to have problems with it when we get home. Assistant Manager suggested that maybe I don’t use the low speed on our wood floors – but I do! One quick inspection by the«new»(returning to work there again) guy, he insisted that everything worked fine, as it picked up the dusty carpet powder he sprinkled on their carpet to demonstrate. I insisted it did not pick up cat hair! So, I just left it there for them to investigate. Upon further inspection, they discovered that something was broken. They replaced it and now they said it picks up the simulated cat hair they spread on their floor… Not sure why they would think I would give them a story – as if it were a pleasure to drag the damn vacuum to their store so often and then – treat me like I don’t know what I’m talking about. If maybe if they came across as possibly even liking their jobs, it might make it more plausible to deal with the whole situation – since apparently were stuck with the«lemon» we purchased!

Up sell up sell up sell. The website claims they will fix other vacuums but when you drag your vacuum cleaner down there they claim they can’t get parts suggest you Google or YouTube how to fix it and try and upsell you the oreck of the day. «just let me know when you want to trade that in for a new vacuum. « Bunk
