Silverado Brookfield Memory Care Community

A lovely and specialized assisted living facility, this place employs state of the art strategies and techniques for the elderly with memory loss problems. This includes a vigorous and varied entertainment and social schedule. The grounds are attractive, peaceful and very well maintained. The staff seems expertly trained and professional. Although they have marked the inside of the building to make it easier for the residents to find their way around, the outside is initially a little confusing for first time visitors, there are a few different entrances that appear to be the front door, but aren’t. Other than not knowing where to walk in, parking is more than ample and very convenient.

Went caroling here as a church congregant resides here. Front desk was friendly and on top of security. She wasn’t up to our visit, but we sang with some other residents who seemed to enjoy their home. The place was really nice looking and new. I like the wooden china cabinets around each resident’s door (things to help with memories).

Both of my parents have memory loss. They have lived at Silverado for a little over a year. They are both very happy there. My wife and I live less than ten minutes away and drop in almost every day. We have never had any issues with their care. Their clothes are always clean, the facility does not smell and the staff is very kind, caring, and most importantly, always shows respect for all of the residents– even the most severe ones.
We eat with them several times a month and the food is always good. The building is beautiful and does not have the least bit of nursing home feel to it. Staff is encouraged to bring their children and pets. There is even a playground. There is a resident dog, cat and Guinea pig.
