I was eager to lose weight for my wedding coming up and in a moment of insecurity walked into InShapeMD to ask some questions. I met with the guy selling the memberships (Jack) and was convinced this was going to be my «miracle» to lose weight.
Luckily, I asked to split my fee into two payments…
The next week I had an appointment with my primary care physician. before I could even tell her the diet I was planning she paused and said, «oh no, not the HCG diet?». which of course I had to admit, yes, in fact the HCG diet. She warned me that she had another female patient come in who had been on the diet and they had to call paramedics. She also told me how she was on a board that researched this diet and yes you lose weight because you are only eating 500 calories a day but there is no proof the HCG hormone actually increases weight loss or decreases appetite. She did not want me to do it. I went straight to InShapeMD and talked with Jack and told him I no longer wanted to do the diet, as my doctor has said she didn’t want me to do this diet. Please note, I had not received any services from InShapeMD at this time. I requested a refund. Instead of giving me a refund he attempted to sell me more products and insult my physician.
I only needed to lose 10 pounds. He played up on the fact no other diets have worked for me. If they had looked at my lab results — my thyroid was not right and that was cause of my weight gain. Iost the 10 pounds with out their products.
$ 300 down the drain.

Rip off! I was initially impressed by the nicest reception and the pleasant informative Md. But, I am an RN and when I received my HCG I noticed it was a significantly lower dose than the standard HCG recommends. I called and complained about the low dose and was surprised by how defensive and cold the formerly nice Doctor was on the phone. I felt robbed I expected the 5000 iu vials not 2000 iu and 3000 iu. When I calculated my daily dose it was a fraction of what it should have been. It suppressed my appetite at first but My weight loss was minimal only 9 pounds in 6 weeks and I lost 4 of those pounds before I started hcg!
I made sure I drank ample water and adhered to my 500 calorie diet. I honestly feel I had too low of a dose for it to work! I paid 700 dollars for nothing! In addition, the supply of b12 and fat burner pills they provide didn’t even last for 3 weeks!
Now I have found a prescriber of the same hcg product that InshapeMD uses but at half price! This prescriber provides the 5000 iu vials! Too bad InShapeMD tried to keep me as an customer forever! How did they think they could win by low dosing a healthcare professional? …I hate dishonest business, especially when it comes to my health!

I was skeptical when I read about HCG. I was skeptical while I sat in the nice waiting area after I was warmly greeted by the receptionist (who is also a nurse.) This is an actual HCG diet with the chemicals shipped to you from the manufacturer. None of this pre-​mixed rip off medicine that I see a lot of places pushing. Yes, it’s pricey. But if you can justify paying about $ 15 to lose 1 pound, then do it. Do it now.
