Great service, food and atmosphere quality as you would expect in a small diner like restaurant. Not sure what people who gave it 1 star are looking for. I go there all the time.

The food is good in the morning when the owners are here but when they leave the night crew just don’t care. We ordered ate our salad and before we knew our soup and dinner where togather. Don’t get there cream of broccoli lumpy and no broccoli, so I ask for chicken orzo and all I got was broth. There is only 2 waitresses at night(not enough) they need help. And don’t get me started on the attitude. The waitress said I don’t make it.

Dear Unilocal, there are times when you just need to give half a star, and this is one of those times. My first impression of the place wasn’t very good. I’ve never minded older people and being the youngest customer in the place didn’t really bother me. I mention this more as a public service, this place is the lair of the blue hairs! No the bad first impression came from the waiting. If I wasn’t so hungry I would’ve turned around and left. There was a bottleneck at the front counter as: three people were waiting to be seated, and four people were waiting to pay. Where was the counter girl? She was the waitress! While I’m sure this saves the company money, it’s a bit inane. In fact when it came time for me to pay I had to track down someone to ring me up, VERY annoying. So why the three stars? Or 2 ½ if we’re being honest? Well the raisin French toast was pretty tasty and the price was really good… ya know when I finally got to pay

Food was good. Service was terrible. Server literally sat on the table next to us while we were eating… So terrible.

Food was okay, service was terrible. The manager was rude and refused to make a simple substitution. I ordered the chicken finger dinner, which comes with fries and onion rings. I asked if I could get mozzarella sticks instead of onion rings, but she curtly said, «No.» I thought she was just teasing me at first, but nope. When I said they didn’t have a problem with it last time I was here, she began grilling me on who it was, what she looked like, what her hair color was. I didn’t remember, but then she said she’d make sure they all knew from now on. By this point she’d embarrassed me by making a scene and being generally unaccommodating and standoffish. She eventually did bring mozzarella sticks, so I’m not sure why she needed to cause such a fuss in the first place. There are polite ways to deny a request. Had she used one of those this wouldn’t have been an issue.

Best diner food I’ve had since I moved here from North Jersey last year. Excellent breakfast! Recommend: Biscuits & Gravy!

I will try again — but — for now 1 star and here is why: I walked in at about 7:30/35PM on a Tuesday night. I wanted dinner and a quiet place to eat and take an 8PM conference call. Was told«sit anywhere you want» — so I did(looked at the salad bar on the way in and it looked just fine). An elderly couple was leaving and a few more older folks were finishing up their meals. Server was seated at another table chatting with friends and promptly came over. I tolder her about my 8PM call — she said, «Oh, we close at 8:00.» So I replied, «Well, that won’t work» and walked out. Who closes a diner at 8PM? Don’t people in the burbs eat dinner? Please consider staying open until 9 at keast. I wonder what they do on Friday and Saturday nights? So if you want to eat dinner here — come early. Even if I had ordered — what if I had not finished by 8? Would she have kicked me out? Sheesh. I have been told this diner is very good and even better than Tom Jones(up the road) but i was forced out and guess where I wound up goin’? Tom Jones. I will be back and I hope I have better luck next time.

0 out of 2 stars for Food 1 out of 1 stars for Service 1 out of 1 stars for Cleanliness 0 out of 1 stars for Atmosphere Very friendly waitress. As for food, not so good. There was no lettuce in the salad bar, was told they would be out with more shortly. Our wallpaper paste, I mean soup, was out before they restocked the lettuce. Our entrees were horrible. My boyfriend had chicken stir-fry and it looked and tasted like a microwaveable dinner from the supermarket. I had chicken croquettes, they were definitely frozen. The desserts in the case were still in the containers from the supermarket!

Typical diner. Had the bacon cheeseburger, fries and salad bar. Burger was hot and tasted good. Cost was $ 10 for dinner. The waitress was nice and service was quick and good. If you are looking for decent diner type food I would recommend here.

When it comes to diner food, this place is pretty classic. Breakfast all day is a nice bonus, and the omelet and home fries I had we’re tasty. My hubby had chicken and dumplings and liked it. It’s a small hole in the wall place, no frills, but the food is decent and the prices are great. Worth a repeat visit– we will be back.

If you haven’t tried this place yet, you should really stop by and find out why they have so many loyal customers. They have an extensive menu, lots of normal diner fare plus a few surprises. Fantastic breakfasts at a reasonable price. Dinners include soup(everybody loves their soup) and a very nice fresh salad bar. There is a super senior special every day from 3 to 5. A real bargain! The cooks work hard to please you and the waitstaff is very friendly. Give it a try — I think you’ll come back!

Stopped for breakfast a little late for early special from 7:00 to 11:00 am but the little extra was well worth it. I had the Rt 352 special which included 2 pancakes 2 eggs and I choose scrapple. All were cooked perfectly :). My friend had a feta and spinach omelet which was full of feta and spinach excellent. Coffee great but had to ask for refills. Bottom Line mmmmmm will be back for sure.
