Love this sweet busy little place. Excellent clam chowder! Great menu selections and Delicious food. If your looking for a sit down and be served kind of place this is not that type of place. But for an order at the counter type of place Its pretty good. Prices are reasonable and the counter service is good. Sometimes they are slow in getting food out so be prepared to be patient. If you are so hungry you could punch someone then go else where. Not the prettiest views but a great little place none the less.

Excellent fish and chips, large portion with creamy tartar sauce. This place is warm, has a nice family feel to it and came highly recommended by a local hotel. I would definitely return and try other things on their menu. The area is nice for walking and there are lots of cool shops along the way.

Still the best! We’ve been eating here for more than ten years and the fish and chips or fish nuggets are the best I’ve had. Hush puppies are also really good, and don’t forget the great chowder always served hot. Today the staff took my order with one item for me to eat there and one order to go. The lady was insistent on not making the order to go until I was absolutely ready to leave because she didn’t want it to get soggy. My wife arrived in time anyway so we switched hers to eat there. Very good fried fish again and again.

We had great hopes for the Hungry Clam but our meal was average at best. We arrived at 12:45, ordered at 12:55 and our food didn’t come up for at least another 45 min. They knew they were busy and said at the counter that it would be a while but that our chowder would come out first. It didn’t. Was frustrating. All might have been redeemed had the food ultimately been exceptional. It was fine, but not worth the wait.

Amazing food!!! I ordered a tuna melt and my parents ordered fish & chips and halibut. We came upon this little place while looking for the pelican bay lighthouse down by the harbor.
Place is little in size and looks kind of iffy from the outside, but totally different once you walk in and have their food.
The service was ok, but I mean it is a order and sit down type of place. Variety of food to choose from and good seating outside when the weather is good.
Recommend this place for anyone looking for a bite to eat after a day spent around town.
