Great place to eat with a relaxing environment as well. They just re-did it so it has like a rustic Italian feeling to it. I have to get this out of the way, I am a pizza freak. I know my pizza and after not keeping kosher for a while and then eventually coming to keep it i was afraid that i wouldn’t find pizza around that is as good if not better than that of Papa Gino’s, Pepe, Santarpios, etc. This place though is awesome, the pizza has the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. I would definitely recommend this place to any one who is in the area. BTW they have great sushi too(random) but i wanted to let y’all know.

This restaurant is the only kosher pizza place in the Boston area and we are fortunate that it has survived the many changes to our community. The owners also did a great job with the recent renovations. That being said, the pizza is average to slightly average and there is very little on the part of the owners to make the customer experience pleasant. There was a time I was in the store and one of the owners got into a verbal altercation with a customer about not giving him the correct amount of change. My biggest critique of the restaurant, though, is the flimsy paper plates and plastic silverware. Warning: the knives barely cut through one slice of pizza and are then so dull that you need another one. They also only give you exactly the amount of plates, forks and napkins equal to the number of people in your party. If you are a party of four, you get four plates, four forks, and four small napkin squares. And the plates are so flimsy that it can’t hold a slice but you have no choice because they only give you one plate. All in all, we do need to support Café Eilat because it is the only kosher pizza place, but I have the sense that they do little to improve on the experience because there is no competition.

Dirty place, inconsistent service. The woman that works at the register is rude and obnoxious.

We agreed to go here with friends of ours that keep kosher. Had it not been for that I would have walked out of here the second I walked in. It was absolutely filthy(think tables covered in trash, french fries stuck to the floor) and it quite honestly made me cringe. I can’t even remember what I had to eat(which might be a good thing in that it couldn’t have been too horrible) but the filth alone made it so that I will never walk in here again.

This place was EXTREMELY dirty. The pizza was standard, not anything too exciting.

Pizza is the mainstay of this counter service restaurant that also has a sushi chef on occasion and a broader menu but my recommendation is to stick with the pizza or perhaps the sushi if the chef is there. The service and quality is otherwise inconsistent and too often disappointing. The customer may sometimes be right but typically not here. There is metered parking in front on Harvard Street and some off street metered parking in the rear.

I ate here on a Saturday night in the winter of 2012, when I was visiting Brookline for Shabbat. After eating here, I greatly began pitying the kosher-keeping population of Boston. Coming from the land of Amnon’s, Mendelsohn’s, Viva, Solo, and other very good pizza places, I was greatly disappointed. The dough is consistently underdone, the cheese is scant and overdone, and the soup was devoid of flavor. In fact, I thought the pizza at the Brandeis kosher cafeteria was better(and the price was far better). The soup was flavorless and tasted like warm water, and the fries were oily. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that the quality was due to my eating there a couple of hours after Shabbat.

Interesting place. Good kosher pizza but a few of the other menu items make you wonder. Lunch here was good, the pizza was by far the best item. I had a baked fish that was okay but when I go here again I will just have a few slices.

I lovingly call this a Torah Themed Pizza Joint. I’ve never seen anything like it and the décor just kind of makes a Goy smile. That they also offer sushi just makes me giggle. Uh, no thanks on the sushi but bonus points for trying so hard to please everyone. I think they also have cappuccino and who knows what else. Café Eliat serves my idea of a proper slice. Not too greasy, nice crust, unpretentious. The only thing I don’t like about this place is that it is on the way home from my gym and pretty tempting in that regard. But, it’s safe to walk by there on Saturdays because they are closed for the Sabbath.

I agree with Jeff H. If I’m hungry, I can’t go wrong stopping by Café Eilat. Doesn’t matter what I’m in the mood for, they will have me covered. Seriously one of the best all around slices of pizza you will find anywhere, and the variety is much appreciated for a Kosher restaurant. Thumbs up!

I found myself checking out this place not too long ago and I must say I was quite impressed. The prices were not bad and the pizza was terrific. I’ve eaten a lot of pizza at a lot of places and this was good pizza. The green & white pizza was a dream come true everything on it I loved. I wish more places had one like that. Crushed Garlic, olive oil, spinach, feta, mozzarella cheese, no sauce is the Green & white I highly reccomend it.

Wow, I regret coming here. I’ve been twice. The first time we got the pizza, which was okay, but I’d prefer any other pizza place. The guy working at the register was extremely rude and sarcastic to my mom when she asked a simple question about what we should order. The second time(a few months later) was much worse. The same rude guy was working there, and got irritated when we asked questions about the menu. We opted to not get pizza because it wasn’t so great last time. We got a calzone and«white baked ziti.» the calzone was disappointing but better than the ziti. It was basically pizza crust with 1 kind of melted cheese. It isn’t served with sauce. The baked ziti was a joke. First of all, it is definitely not baked. Someone cooked some pasta and sprinkled some shreds of cheese on top, and then maybe threw it in the microwave. That’s all it was — pasta and shredded cheese on a plate! We couldn’t believe it. No sauce or anything, and no nice crust(which happens when you bake it!). And for $ 8.50! Ridiculous. No way this place would be in business if it weren’t the only kosher pizza place.

We tried to order the baked scrod, didn’t have it. So we had fish and chips and fish kabobs. Also we had 2 sodas. $ 32.50…wow. The only thing that was good was the french fries that came with the fish and«chips». The 2 piece of fish was greasy and oily. Could barely see the fish. I only had 2 bites and was done. My husband’s fish kabobs was salmon kabobs. The fish was over cooked. Had more rice than salad on the plate. If you go try the pizza, not the fish stuff. The other customers had pizza, it smelled fresh and looked good.

Pizza isnt bad, but isnt great either. I think what gets me is that its expensive($ 17 for a large pizza with one topping) and its not good enough to warrant the price. They do have sushi now, which is actually quite good. I think they really need to work on the ambiance of the place – it looks really run down.

If Northeastern Hillel has a pizza event, I know the pizza is coming from Café Eilat. And you can bet your ass that I’ll cancel my original plans to shlep down there and stuff myself. Happily, this place isn’t good«just because it’s the only kosher pizza place» and you have no other option. It’s good because it’s GOOD. Hot, fresh, yummy pizza with quality ingredients. Check it out, my non-Jewish brethren. Don’t be skeer’d.

Kosher Pizza! This is the only kosher pizza place in Boston. Yay, the pizza its quite good and the service is good. The place is sparkly clean. As you know kosher pizza is veggie pizza. So grass eaters here is a place for you grass eating soul. It is also a place for my Jewish Kosher soul. I always get a slice of Mushroom pizza and fries. Fries are amazing. Come here and fill your tummy with yummy kosher food.

What a mistake! I should have gotten their pizza, which looked great coming out of the oven. But noo, I had to get the Broiled Salmon, which for $ 12.50 was a tough piece of meat, topped with overcooked veggies and served with a side salad(or pasta). Does it even matter? Don’t order anything else but the pizza. There are other options like falafels(go the Rami’s), burritos(doesn’t Boca and Anna’s take care of that?), coffee(Pete’s and Starbucks corner that market), and of course, seafood(blech!), but I think they’ve just spread themselves too thin. Not good at all. Pizza, MAYBE, but wouldn’t you just go to the Upper Crust instead?

The only kosher pizza place in Boston. Luckily, it’s a pretty good one and I go there every other week. They have calzones and falafel too, and I would highly recommend the spicy fries(not that spicy, but very tasty). In case you don’t know, kosher pizza never contains meat, so this is a good place for moral vegetarians, who will be happy to know that the oven(and restaurant) has never seen any meat whatsoever.
