Have to say I understand and share similar as stated by W.A. in his review. On our first appointment I thought he was great ! Friendly, full of advice and explanation and sounded like a great diagnostician. However, my problems kept on going for the following 9 months leaving me basically on the verge of mental breakdown. It ended up with me at the emergency and being urgently operated on. I can’t tell if another doctor would have caught that earlier, he did run a great number of test, MRI, Scans. So I’m not laying blame there. My issue was that over the 9 months he followed me, he just kept on having that exasperating look as I kept coming back as if I was making things up. Absolutely condescending and total lack of bedside manners or empathy. I myself was wondering if I was going crazy… up to the point where they had to slice open my abdomen. The only upside is that I got to advise him I was switching doctor just before he headed out of Brighton to set up in Newton.

It’s really hard to convey what a miserable specimen of humanity is Arun. Suffice it to say that he has the bedside manner of a bad rash. I rarely write reviews and certainly not such harsh ones, but let this be your warning: if you want to be treated with contempt, Arun is your man.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Mukherjee for about a year now. I have had the greatest experiences with him — right from day 1. He has little round, cheerful face, and when I explain to him what things are wrong with me, he always listens. My first appt, he had me go to the blood lab, and had the woman take several samples of my blood. She actually kinda complained: Dr. Mukherjee tests for everything! But I really appreciated this bk I had not had a doctor since moving to Boston. Then, a couple weeks later, I get the results of these tests in the mail! Everytime I go, if they test me for anything(most recently, he tested my blood for something that would say whether I had hives — which he suspected right from seeing me, and the tests indicated that’s exactly what I had) — I always get the results/information in the mail. The first time I went, too, I was in severe pain and needed to see a specialist. Dr. Mukherjee checked me out, said he thought I had X, but recommended a specialist to be sure. Sure enough, I go see the specialist, I do have what Dr. M thought I did, and I loved the specialist he referred me to — what could be better? Another time, I needed allergy meds(was taking the bar the following week and couldn’t breathe!) — they fit me in THAT morning(I called at like 8:30, and they scheduled me for 11am). He prescribed me some strong stuff, I got it that day, and was totally fine for the bar exam. The third and last time I’ve been was when my skin was itching. I had actually gone to Physicians Skincare(dermatologists) but had an awful experience, so I called up Dr. M. I had dandruff, and Dr. M recommended Neutrogena(which I had been using, and which Physicians Skincare had not recommended) — and this worked very well over the next few weeks. But my skin was also itching, and Dr. M took one look at the scabs on my ankles(where I was itching) — and he said: hives! Then, he looked this up on his medical website on the computer, brought me over, showed me everything, and printed out all the info. What more could I ask for?! A doc who listens, never rushes, and prints out take-home info for me?! And then sends me any lab results in the mail?! I am just crazy about this little round, cheerful doc!

Mis-billed me over $ 400 for immunizations. 5 un-answered, un-returned phone calls and 3 written letters later I am out of luck. Very poor customer service. I really wish I had looked at his Google reviews or before I booked an appointment at this practice. I highly recommend going elsewhere.
