The food is overpriced. I got a beef soup and beef kabab. The portion size was average. The taste was nothing special. Lunch came out to $ 30. I could go to a Restaurant Week place for a better deal that included dessert. This is my first and last time at this establishment.

My husband, 3 year old and I were in the neighborhood feeling adventurous when we fell upon Georgia Kiziki with it’s fully tinted windows and«is-this-a-restaurant-or-a-social-hall-with-old-men-playing-cards» question running through our minds when there was no menu on the outside, but I was able to confirm that this WAS indeed an eating establishment when we walked inside and saw tables with people eating food at them. The waitress not speaking any English made for lots of «lost in translation» moments, but we’re pretty easy going when it comes to trying new things.(Btw, what’s named as «lemonade» tastes nothing like what an American would consider lemonade… it tastes like crème root beer). The owner was eventually summoned and helped us navigate closer to what we wanted, so ended up with the cheesy bread pie(almost like baked brie, always a crowd pleaser), pork stew and some dumplings that ended up taking 25 minutes to make, but it was an extremely chill vibe in there and our 3 year old was busy watching videos, so we decided to chance the wait. They were delicious and HUGE – about the size of your fist – and the owner said the way a true Georgian would eat it is to bite off the top, drink the juice and then eat the rest of the dumpling. We got 7 or so, which was way too much to eat, so we ended up having yummy leftovers for the next night. Based on the cross-section of food we decided to try, I would say that Georgian food seems to be very compatible with the American palate, so give this place a go!

Authentic Georgian food from the Country Georgia. Went the first week they opened. It was slightly intimidating or unwelcoming at first but they quickly made my boyfriend and I welcome. The servers English wasn’t perfect but we managed to have her recommend some traditional Georgian food. She recommended some type of juice and came out with a delicious pitcher of white cherry juice. She even took some of the cherries out for us in a bowl which was very enjoyable to eat in spoonfuls. She then recommended Pork Feet which at the time didn’t sound very appealing but I know regret not trying it because I think she was trying to tell me it was Pork Knuckles. They have a little area where you can dance with a live performer singing what i can only assume as Georgian songs? She also recommended this dessert with LOADS of mozzarella cheese and boiled eggs on top. This dish VERYFILLING. One bite felt like i ate a block of cheese but the bread was really good and so i kept eating. Needless to say, i felt about 5 pounds heavier with cheese when I left. Wasn’t a good feeling. We got this saucy beef dish which had a milky taste and I didn’t enjoy it too much because it was on the tough side for me. However, definitely a great experience. Glad i tried Georgian food. Never even knew the country Georgia existed until then.
