1) This was my first time going here. 2) I had a Groupon 3) They stopped serving brunch 10 mins before 4pm Like in my list, this was the first time going to 739 Franklin. I saw them on Groupon and brought a brunch deal. Because of MTA me and my friend had to little rough time getting there, but when we did get there is was 3:51pm and was told they stopped serving brunch at 4pm. BUTITWASN’T 4 yet! I didn’t argue, because I don’t have time for that. My friend will not go back there ever again all because of the early stoppage. But I will make another attempt all because I will not lose out on my Groupon deal. This review will be updated once I finally get a chance to eat there.

Not the worst place for a later in the afternoon brunch(till 4ish), but not a lot of seating(like 3 tables), and there was only one dude working the whole place when we were there last. Small portions, eh on the food and drinks. Much better places in the area for brunch, but works in a pinch. No issues with using our Groupon.

Home. I frequent this place a lot since moving down Eastern Parkway. $ 8 Über home and everything from lighting to atmosphere is just perfect. BBQ wings are my go to, but the drink specials are always reasonable. Watched Kobe’s last game here and the place was rocking! Bar is small but I wouldn’t change a thing about here.

horrible experience, got there with my girl at 3pm on saturday. they ran out of champagne for the mimosa so unlimited mimosas were not available, they ran out of fish tacos, the kitchen is very small. only two servers working at the place, nobody came to take our order. once we ordered, we waited over an hour but the food was still not ready so we just left after trying to pay for the mimosas we got. we didnt have to pay for the mimosa but it kind of ruined our Saturday brunch.

Here when I want to have a drink and nibble on a basic appetizer menu. Decent ambience, cool crowd, and decent drink selection. Owned by a woman, and her daughter. my major complaint with this place is the drinks are very expensive.. They charge $ 6 for a beer, and a basic Almeretto Sour was $ 10. Way too high..

I like this spot. The drinks are good, strong. The crowd is a bit older at times, but nice. The food is delicious but the service is super slow! Don’t order when famished, because you’ll be waiting a good while before your food comes. With that said, get the wings. They are so, so good! I thought the space was tiny, but I just learned there is a backroom, so definitely a good look to check out at some point during your night out.

My problems with this bar revolve around communication and poor service. Regarding the communication, I had a drink — Ketel & soda — that was almost, but not finished, that got taken and thrown away when I wasn’t looking. Someone claimed it was pushed towards the bartender as if it was finished to be taken away. I asked for a menu once and couldn’t decide what I wanted and put the menu down and minutes later when I wasn’t looking, it was taken away — I had mentioned I didn’t know what I wanted yet. Why snatch the menu? I had to ask for it again. As far as the service… SLOW. The girl working the bar was very nice, but she doesn’t work a bar well and doesn’t seem to pay attention to those who need service — and the bar was far from busy! In her defense she may have been consumed with other duties, but it was clear that bar service was not running smoothly. The only positive I give to the experience was that drinks were relatively cheap compared to other spots. I’d probably go back for that alone if there is a good football game or basketball game to watch on the TV. Actually, also, the 90’s era hip hop playing was nice, too. Get the service better would be my first recommendation to the owners. Perhaps you need a second bartender or something, or cut back on the duties of the bartender.

This place is cute. Drinks are very good and reasonably priced. Friendly crowd. 1 big tv at the bar so if ur game happens to be on you are in luck. I didn’t try the food but the customers around me who did were happy.

I love this bar! Everyone who works here is extremely friendly and gives great service. I come here often to watch Sunday and Monday Night Football games, because of the laid back atmosphere and inexpensive drinks. Great place to enjoy a couple drinks to conclude the weekend. Their french toast is amazing too!

I left this place feeling a little ambivalent – it was neither good nor bad. I had a Groupon for two drinks and two entrees, and had no problems redeeming it. The bartender appeared to be the only person working the entire place, aside from the cook in the back. After we sat down, there was only one other free table left. That would explain slow service, but when I looked at the time, I realized we had been waiting almost 30 minutes for our food! Is there only one burner in their kitchen? We both ordered the best looking item on the menu – the Monte Cuban: ham, turkey, and swiss on French toast, with a generous helping of greens on the side. This sandwich was one of the most interesting bastardizations of food I have ever tasted. There were no pickles or mustard on it(thank god, it would have been too much with the French toast). The sandwich was actually quite filling, and the house made vinaigrette for my salad was tasty. The mimosas were standard cheap champagne and orange juice(not the freshly squeezed kind). I wasn’t impressed, but I wasn’t absolutely appalled. It’s a bar, so they should probably stick to bar foods(they did have fish tacos and french fries on their brunch menu… which is a little weird when there’s yogurt parfaits and pancakes above and below the fish taco listing). They did have a $ 6 beer and shot special, and canned beers are $ 3 – 5 each – seems like the place to go if you’re looking to get trashed. For what it’s worth, the bartender was the sweetest, and for that I’d like come back to check out their evening hours.

I had a Groupon for 2 entrees and 2 drinks. They would not honor the Groupon. They claimed it was a mistake and should have been for Brunch. Although that’s not my issue, I expressed they have to take that up with Groupon. The worker honored the value but that didn’t cover the cost of the meal which led me to pay more for the meal. Futhermore, service was poor.

739 !!! I’ve been to this bar about a million times(forgot to check in lol) but its a great chill bar to watch the games if your into that and have a couple reasonably priced drinks. the bartender Hailey is the best super friendly and makes some pretty awesome drinks. Here’s some advice get the drinks on the special menu to save a few bucks and definitely try the little chicken bites they are to die for. brunch during the summer is also a great date idea because the have a small outdoor seating in the front. overall definitely a great date spot with a mellow ambiance.

I’m glad that this place had wifi when I needed it to do my homework. I came at around 11 and it was wifi was available. They also had comedy in the back with no air conditioning. The food was okay, prices are not too bad, but I’m not sure if I would come here to eat.

Very quaint place. 1st time: Came here for brunch but was too late. Kitchen shuts down at 3:30 to prepare for lunch/dinner. So we opted to stay and wait since we were initially told it would only be about a half hour forty-five minutes until the kitchen would reopen for lunch. So we rounded it to 4:30 and began ordering drinks. They had good prices for beers so we started there. Four beers later and no food we look at the clock at it was 4:20, so we are thinking we will be eating very soon. Then I overhear the bartender tell other patrons the kitchen is closed for another 30 minutes. Very confused I ask him and he says give him a second to check. He says 20 minutes fast forward to is not getting food for another 45 minutes. I mean we were pretty buzzed and just needed food. sooo many drinks and we were given two rounds of tequila shots for the inconvenience(comping or discounting some of the bill would have been a better option but whateves). Food was ok, nothing to write home about at all. 2nd time: came for brunch again wanting to use the voucher I couldn’t use the first time. We were seated immediately, I presented my voucher our server gladly accepted. We ordered and were having a great time until we noticed 30mins had gone by and were still waiting for food. Our waiter had come by a time or two before letting us know the food was coming but we hadn’t realized it was that long. Forgot to mention I went to brunch with my mom, my 6&3 three year old… yea not the most patient bunch. I think after hearing my kids and mom whine for the umpteenth time she went and kind of expedited our food, unfortunately that was a solid 45 mins after we ordered. Some food was piping hot(mine) and some just right(my kids) and some not so much(my mom). They were not at all happy and I have come to the realization the kitchen management is not so great here. I hope they get it together, it has potential. It’s not worth it for me to travel that far for potential though. Oh and my sangria was served in a cocktail glass WITHICE… NO!!!

I love that I have an amazing brunch spot within walking distance of my house that I know will always deliver. Originally I came here with the Groupon deal to try there brunch. I had the French Toast(only $ 8) an my boyfriend had the Cuban($ 12). Both were incredible. We also had 2 red sangrias which were stronger than expected. Only comments would be that the back room could use some décor as it was just chairs an painted walls in the back but the awesome music AMAZING wait team an good food made it worth it. Will definitely be a regular here!

I’ve been here a few times and always found the staff to be fond and likeable. The décor is beautiful and it has a nice vibe. They play a lot of r&b and hip-hop, but nothing hardcore. I’ve tried their food once and it was decent. I’d say give it a try when in the neighborhood.

I had a Groupon for brunch and I was not disappointed. It’s real simple and easy food. Everything you would expect from brunch. The space is really nice but definitely leaves something to be desired. It looks like they are still setting things up, it’s pretty empty. The service is okay, the waitresses were nice, not overly pleasant or attentive but the were not rude so I guess that is good. I would go back.

This place is awesome. The food, the setting, the neighborhood during the daytime, and the service. I bought the groupon for brunch, and they gave you a mimosa with it. It was so good. I ordered the usual French toast with bacon and it was cooked to perfection. I don’t have any complaints. I bought the groupon like 3 times and went for brunch.
