So, the last time I flew Delta/​Northwest the zippers on one of the outside pockets of my suitcase mysteriously «disappeared.”* Said suitcase sat in my closet for months until it was December and I had to get it fixed tout de suite because I was set to travel again at X-​mas.
I’ve never been faced with the issue of luggage repair, and it was actually my mom who located A to Z online (yay, ma!).
A few days turn around and $ 15 gave my suitcase two new zippers. Friendly customer service, no muss, no fuss. If I’m ever faced with another suitcase repair issue, I will definitely return.
*I don’t know who at the airline was responsible, perhaps it was one of the luggage throwers, er, baggage handlers. This is kind of sad, because I’m an over tipper when it comes to putting my luggage in someone else’s hands. Also, of note, it would take some serious effort to pull off these zippers, as this is a (or so I thought) well made suitcase. But, I digress.
