Just got my second pair of glasses from Andre’s shop. The first pair I got in the Brooklyn Flea at One Hanson Place about 2.5 years ago. They were by far my favorite glasses I’ve ever owned (and they were CHEAP), so when I was looking for a new pair (I’m rough on things I own and I broke mine) I was so stoked to stumble across his new booth at Artists and Fleas… here I was checking the Brooklyn Flea like a dummy… I gotta step my «hip flea market» game up, apparently.
No other place I checked in BK or Manhattan had anything on the selection and the price. Including that Warby Parker dude. And the two ladies working the booth were an absolute blast to try on frames with. They had me try things I normally wouldn’t and I ended up with a pair of frames that were close to my old style but still new enough to change my «look».
AND they now handle the prescription part in-​house. 2.5 years ago I had to handle it on my own, with Andre’s guidance, which was fine, but this was nice since I got it all done in one shot.
Anyway, I hit up a LOT of glasses spots over the past month. From Lenscrafters to shady spots in the city to flea markets to websites, and Andre has the best game in town. Price, selection, cool people, its all there.

Went to the Brooklyn Flea Market in the Skylight 1 Hanson Place on Easter Sunday and purcahse a pair of frames from Andre’s shop. They are retro and very cute… my boyfriend was patience enough to assistant and so was Andre who suggeste taking pictures in different frames and to ask friends opinion yet i trusted my own and my boyfriend. Went with a purple large frame and will get the lens done this week. They do offer lens referral and is at a afforable price. The frames I choose were $ 85 I thought this was a good price. The customer service was excellent and will go back when in a need for a new pair, yet will let others know as well. Alot of customers at the flea market were trying on glasses as well. Oh these are not high end designers frames with the large price just frames that will be different then the norm with a good affordable price.
