At the Brooklyn Terminal Market, A. Visconti and its competitor Lapide both have a great selection of beautiful, conventionally-​grown (non-​organic) herb, veggie, and ornamental plants, and all kinds of garden supplies such as soil, and mulch, at very reasonable prices. For my summer garden, I prefer my edibles to be organic, so I get most of them at Hick’s in Westbury, but they’re double the price and a far drive away. Whatever I can’t find there, I buy at Visconti or Lapide.
