The name Terranova itself means New Land or New Earth. The Terranova family has been in the marble business for hundreds of years dating back to their native home in the Ragusa region of Sicily in the small but beautiful town of Modica. If ever there was a true lineage of craftsmen, these are them. Marble dust is in their blood and the work shows it. In New York this business has been around since the 1920’s. Frank Sinatra, Sidney Poitier, Marilyn Monroe, Jackie Gleason and Blythe Danner just to name a few of the old school stars who used these very craftsmen to adorn their homes with marble. To this day they still operate with the ultra sheik and top decorators in NYC, providing the homes of stars and industry leaders their multi-​generational talents in delivering marble nirvana. For me this was a natural choice when I was gut-​renovating my town home. From concept to design and installation it was seamless.
