Alber Ftiha, MD

Dr. Ftiha was recommended to me by a colleague several years ago, as he has been my primary care physician ever since. He is caring, never rushes you, has an excellent bedside manner and has made great recommendations for me to other specialists.

I was dreading switching primary care physicians when i found out my beloved doctor who had cared for my entire family and me (including my 103 year old grandmother) was now out-​of-​network. I needed a referral to a specialist and felt forced to find a good GP in-​network. I asked my friends on Facebook for recommendations and Dr. Ftiha’s name came up three times! Boy, did I hit the mother-​load.
Dr. Alber Ftiha (who also goes by Albert Ftiha) is just an amazing doctor and a lovely human being. What a gem! i have some medical issues (thyroid, allergies, exercise-​induced asthma) and absolutely require someone who is smart and on top of it. Dr. Ftiha is exceptionally knowledgeable about a wide array of health issues, but he’s also compassionate, caring, thorough, and good-​humored.
He’s a humanistic doctor: he listens well, isn’t patronizing in the least, examines throughly, gives extremely well-​reasoned advise, and very clearly delineates next steps. He’s great at putting things in their proper perspective if this makes sense. When lab work was done, Dr Ftiha called me right away to tell me what the results were and what they meant for me.
I’m a stress case and knowing that I’m in such incredibly competent hands makes me feel calm and collected so that i can focus on things other than my health, which is a relief. Finally, the doctor’s office staff was very friendly, helpful and efficient. The office itself is beautifully and conveniently situated, right near Grand Army Plaza on gorgeous Plaza Street. It’s near like ten train lines. He also has a second office on Avenue U i think.
