We hired Victor to repoint our brick façade. He took our money and did the most terrible job
:(((We paid him a lot of money, but he’s only knowledgable of flat work, not repointing a building. When we took a closer look at his work after the job, it was poor craftsmanship and very, very sloppy. We were crying afterward. We were definitely robbed!

This company is actually located in Monroe Township, NJ, but has the business registered in Brooklyn, but they still do work in Brooklyn, which is where I live. I hired Amato to repair my stoop which was only put in only 4 years ago by another (shoddy, fly by night) contractor (who I can’t find to yell at) who didn’t do a good job replacing my old stoop and the steps came loose with all the snow/​salt/​melting we had this past brutal winter. I’d hired Amato to repair my chimney some years back, and I knew he’d be the best person to hire again to repair my stoop. Let me just say that you will not regret hiring Victor Amato for whatever masonry work you need for which you are looking to hire a REAL PRO. This is the second time I’ve hired this company to do work (WOW, a contractor who has stayed in business over the years!!), and I’m very happy with the quality of their work. Typically, Amato’s work estimates come in higher than other quotes that I got from other contractors, but I selected Amato for both jobs because other contractors, while giving me cheaper quotes, ended up either refusing to write up a proposal, showed up late (or not at all) to assess the scope of the work, or were otherwise disrespectful. Victor was professional, respectful, showed up when he said he would and did quality work that LASTS. I am finding that in this business, you have to pay a little more to get a good guy and a good company, and there are really not many of them out there. Victor Amato is top notch. They have been in business a long time, are licenced and insured and stand by their word. Really, a rare gem of ethical integrity in the world of questionable contractors! You can be confident of deciding to hire Amato Quality Construction.
