Their liquor selection leaves a lot to be desired. Also the store is awkwardly laid out, there’s bullet proof glass when you first enter but you can go through a door to get to the wine. The liquor is behind the glass/behind the register so you can’t exactly browse. Prices are to be expected. The people working there are nice but can sometimes ignore waiting customers if they’re chatting with someone. How about multi-tasking? The good thing about this place is that there’s no limit on cards, but at this point even though it’s the closest to my apartment it’s going to be a last resort for me. I prefer better stocked stores where I can browse freely.

Despite my low budge, these guys recommended one of the best wines I’ve had in months! Thank you so much we will definitely be back tomorrow. Best liquor store in crown heights!

Decent liquor store on the less fancy end of Franklin Ave in Crown Heights. Definitely a step above the rest since they carry a great selection of wines as well as the usual spirits. The TV is always playing some crazy show and everyone I’ve been helped by is friendly. Major points for taking credit/debit cards without a limit! A good neighborhood staple.

so. my english bulldog bacon is a bit of a local celebrity — we get recognized where ever we go and sometimes even get special treatment. amber wine and liquor is a perfect example of our star treatment. as previously mentioned by donna a.(my sister) bacon recieves treats almost every time we make an appearance. how amazing is that? amber also sells gazela — my absolute FAVE vinho verde from portugal at a super reasonable price. if bacon could talk, she would definitely agree amber wine and liquor gets two thumbs up(but she doesn’t have those either).

You give my dog treats; you win my heart. You stock up on my favorite Liqueur,(Amaralu) and offer it at the lowest price I’ve discovered; you win my heart. You randomly have tastings; you win my heart. You sell a handle of my favorite Panamanian rum(Seco); you win my heart. You’re always friendly; you win my heart and get my money.

This has been my go-to liquor store for 6 years, but lately they’ve been out-of-stock of a lot of the stuff I used to get there all the time and my home bar suffers unless I hike to Washington Ave these days. Maybe they’ve yet to account for the recent influx of shoppers like me to the neighborhood, maybe they’ve lost vendors… I dunno. All I know is that now I pretty much plan my liquor store runs with the assumption that I’ll have to make two stops: one to this place which is closer in hopes that they’ll have what I need, and another to some other place that is farther away but always has what I need. Eventually I’ll cut the first step altogether.

Good prices, closes a little early … and most importantly, accepts debit cards.
