Scam! The promotion isn’t valid, they are slow in everything that they do, undermine your intelligence when you tell them that something is wrong (the hydraulics in their lift was broken, yet they maintained that everything was «routine».). Whatever you do, do not go here. Also, they tried to say that the Unilocal deal isn’t valid because they have a new management (yet all the managers are exactly who worked there for years). Scammers.

Terrible experience! I went there for car inspection. They had bunch of reasons to ask you change this and that to pass the inspection. They did not clarify the price to change parts at the same time. If you didn’t ask immediately, they charged freaking high price (triple price). The manager just had tons of excuses to charge you to be out of pocket. Don’t go there, don’t be fool by them. Waste of time and money.

The low rating of this shop is unfair. This service station is good. They have multiple easy accessible lifts, so waiting time is much less than anywhere else in the area. They have very decent inventory, so you do not wait for the parts either. Their mechanics are kind and hard working. I have relatively new car, so it mostly oil change, inspection, break pads. Today the manager suggested to replace front discs. He’d showed me the old rusty ones. No pressure. I agreed. $ 70 a pice looks ok price. There is indoor and outdoor (for wormer weather) waiting area. Good, solid shop. Many years in business and getting only better. My rating: 5 stars.

I have been using this establishment for over two years and have seen a steady decline in the last year. They lure you in for an oil change with the promise of a free car wash but once you’re there try to oversell you on products you dont need.
When I went for my final oil change by them I waited in the waiting room for over an hour to then be told that they couldn’t get my hood open and couldn’t find me. Considering I was sitting in their waiting room I dont know where they were looking. As for my hood yes I was in a recent fender bender but damage has been repaired and I would certainly hope that if I am able to open my hood a licensed mechanic should be able to. After being told that it would be an additional twenty five minutes for them to do what they should have done in the first place I asked for my car and I was then sent on a scavenger hunt to find where they had parked my car.
Needless to say, I took my car to another place without touching my hood and they had no trouble with my hood whatsoever.

This place seems to be going downhill. Apparently changed ownership but still called Bay Pkwy Auto Plaza. Wouldn’t accept coupon with same name from prior corporate owners. Prices have jumped for the oil change and the terrific interior/​exterior car wash that used to come with the oil change is now exterior only. But the sign doesn’t specify that. And that free car wash which previously no expiration now has a one month expiration. Be careful folks.

I have been using service 3+ years. Right now its a shit.
After i changed brake rotors, parking brake did not work.

They had integrity years ago, now they try to nickel and dime you for every thing, EVEN STUFF YOU DON’T NEED! I know quite a bit about cars/​engines etc, but don’t have tools, I don’t mind paying a guy for doing the work, but this place is a rip off.
I went to get a brake done because I saw one of them was getting low, THEY WANTED ME TO CHANGE ALL 4 PADS! I laughed at the guy and told him to scam someone else. Another time my window came loose from the carriage, a simple fix for someone with tools: Open the door, take window, re glue it to carriage, done — THEY TRIED TO TELL ME I NEEDED A WHOLE NEW CARRIAGE THE MOTOR ON THE CARRIAGE WAS BLOWN AND LEFT MY WINDOW POWER OFF IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION!!!
Years ago, this was a great place to get your oil change and with that, you would get a complimentary car wash, where they would clean your mats, interior, vacuum, exterior, no more… Just exterior. If you don’t use it right away, the free car wash expires and they charge you (Just Exterior).
the staff is very nasty/​inconsiderate. Most don’t even speak English. It’s a shame, it use to be such a nice place… And I lived in this neighborhood for years.
From now on, i’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

This place is the worst although it looks like a clean legit place I feel like these mechanics have PhD in scamming people they’ll lie to you and mess up your car one of the mechanics recommended synthetic oil on a brand new 4 cylinder civic they told me I have to replace my spark plugs and it would cost me 165 $ on an old 4 cylinder Altima and the were charging me 120 $ for 2 front brake pads STAY AWAY!!!

I came here about a year ago when I had my 96 maxima, but seeing the reviews they’re getting, they’re stll horrible.
I only came here to do a quick lube/​oil change. The guy tried to tell me I need to do a engine flush because the oil is coming out BLACK. Every oil comes out black when you do a oil change stupid! Just from them trying to sell you a «engine flush» alone makes them dishonest scamming mechanics.
To make things worst, as I was driving a few hours later after that oil change, I smelled something weird, out of my vents.
I popped open my hood and see that my manifold had a wet look seeping upwards, I pulled out the dip stick (after waiting 10 minutes) and it was way above the high mark, they burst my damn gaskets from overfilling it with oil!
This never happened when I did my own oil change with synthetic and I only went and got a «regular» oil change from this place so I can only think it’s because they overfilled it so much that oil was seeping out of the gaskets on to the manifold.
Had to blow extra money to have the gaskets replace and to have the mess cleaned up to get the smell out. Not sure where exactly did the oil went that effected the smell coming out of the vent but it definitely had something to do with it.
Never go to a quick lube! It’s like the other reviewers here are saying. They do more damage to your car here than repairs, in attempt that you’d bring it back to them.

Totally inconsiderate employees of this business. They left business cards on my entire block on the Window right before it rained outside and all the cards are now stuck to each Window and needs to be scrapped off. If this is their way of bringing in more customers then they just lost one definitely.

I’m starting to feel that either the people in this place have no idea what they are doing with your or certain cars or if they just intentionally «fix» one problem and cause another to churn business. I had my car repaired at least 3 times in this place in a matter of less than a month. Even though their sign says that all work is warrantied, good luck trying to prove that they were the ones responsible for any damage or trouble they have caused. I had my window motor repaired which costed a lot and now it doesn’t work from THAT door switch… only the front driver side door. There were other problems that JUST HAPPEN to have occurred one right after another the VERY next day they worked on it. Problems that never had signs of problems to begin with even after being looked over before. In the past, they use to be good and I trusted them for over 8 years… I am no longer going here ever again. Luckily I found another mechanic elsewhere that is very honest and doesn’t do the same shady, under handed tricks these guys do.

AVOID THESE CROOKS AT ALL COSTS!!!
Let me begin by saying that I am an avid car enthusiast and I do all the work on my own cars in my garage and driveway.
I rarely let mechanics I do not know personally touch my beloved cars, and this is a fine example why.
It was time for my annual inspection. Obviously something I cannot do on my own as it requires a certified DMV transaction through an authorized shop. SO I decided to be a little lazy and go to this shady shop for something SO simple as it was 6*F out and I rather not drive 30 minutes to my trusted mechanic.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by a young man. Told him I needed an annual inspection my car which is a 2013 and practically brand new. It would be its first inspection by me as the first owner. So the young man takes a few minutes and insist on pulling it into the garage. He exits the car, and nearly bands the door against the lift, good thing I stopped it. He then lets a mechanic which did not speak much English handle the situation. Again, the mechanic nearly bangs the door into the lift, and again I stop it from doing so, practically jamming my finger.
Now this is when it got fishy. The car is once again a 2013 and flawlessly taken care of by me. Has 4000 miles on the clock. So the mechanic begins the process of putting it up the lift. The lift posts are extended under the car, but as I witnessed, not in the correct jack points. So I had to take over and correct them before the knowledgeable mechanic tore my plastic covered undercarriage up. Once it was corrected, I let him put the car up. He proceeds to «inspect» it. Poking around here and there. Really no point in doing so. The mechanic insist that I let him rotate my tires and change the oil. What? Is he seriously trying to pull the typical card to try to sell me something? I instant made it apparent that I was offended and I work on my cars enough to know that it was not needed. He shuts up and lowers the car from the lift.
The mechanic begins the transaction via the computer’s connection to the DMV for the inspection, which it undoubtedly passed. While that was being done. A relatively new Mercedes G-​Class (6 figure cost truck) rolls up outside the garage for an inspection as well. The mechanics immediately fled to the service of the Merc’s owner. I call one mechanic back to check on my inspection and he goes «to the back to check on it». Meanwhile the computer is right in front of my face and it has returned to the data entry menu. So I call him back and asks him to proceed with the next step. He then says «connection was lost». Clearly BS. He says he needs to move my car outside and ask the «master mechanic» to take over for me. My car was moved outside to the curb, windows opened, engine still running, and no one attending it. The Merc was moved in. I was still inside the shop at the time and after a few minutes and I notice my car outside running unlocked windows opened. So I ran outside to turn it off and close the windows. I was beyond shocked at their service and irresponsibility at this point.
The «master mechanic» comes up to me. Does not speak much comprehensible English. From what I (tried to) understand, he said connection was lost and he will do it in a few minutes. He then proceeded straight to the Merc to put him through the inspectino process on the computer. So I made my complaints. The mechanics denied that I was there first, then said they «don’t know» and «no English». What surprised me the most was one of them asked me to pay «$ 37 dollars» for the attempted inspection one first of all, the first year inspection IS $ 10 BY LAW, and second, they didn’t even bother giving me a proper inspection. I continued to complain about their shenanigans then left the damn place.
I went to another inspection shop that I am familiar with and being that it is (once again) a practically new car. I was in and out of the shop with a new inspection within 5 minutes for the proper first year inspection of $ 10.
This shop IS full of crooks. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. I am surprised no one has taken legal actions to close this dump down.

They said I needed stuff I don’t need for oil change and state inspection (tires) then they keep forgetting to fill up my coolant after the oil change. The good thing is free car wash after oil change

These guys are not mechanics they are hacks!
I brought 2 different cars in. one of the cars I was already aware that I needed work on the exhaust system. I knew the part and how much it would cost $ 400. Not a priority, I knew this. The manager told me that I needed an additional part, bc it’s possible that they might break the flange during the repair??? Really? No shot they get that job from me.
2^nd car: the oil change guy, who most likely is in our country illegally, is telling me I got a bad deal on how much I spent for it. Save your opinions, guy. Anyway he tells me I need a belt, axle. Then the manager comes over and says its not the belt but the timing chain, it’s a $ 600 job. No shot!
Next day I went to my mechanic on LI, he told me its an idler pulley. $ 25+35 (part+labor)=$ 60 all in.
These guys are not mechanics, they change oil and up sell you on services and jobs you do not need. Maybe it’s the scum bag owner forcing them to act this way but please don’t listen to any thing they say about your car. Save your $$$
$ 30 for oil change with a car wash, not bad. Just tell them to shit in their hat when they say you need X, Y & Z… That should be the only reason anyone goes here, never go here for any other work needed for your car

No real complaints about this spot. Came here after 4pm on Saturday and had my oil changed in less than 20 minutes for $ 30. The oil change included a free basic car wash with the option to upgrade. They didn’t try to get too much out of me during the oil change other than a new set of wipers, which I declined.
The car wash line was a bit hefty, but they did a pretty good job with my car overall. Pretty sure they didn’t complete all the tasks for the Super Premium wash, but it was late, and I was cold… so I didn’t complain.
I’d come back.

I went for a state inspection, and they failed because my tires had cracks but I didn’t do my research on the inspection because you need at least 1 inch cracks on tires. Now that i recalled it, I dont think i had an cracks that was 1 inch long. They service me for 2 rare tires replacements. I’m sure I can pass my inspection without having my tires changed.

THEY ARE CROOKS!!! DON’T“T GO THERE. One star is too much for this place.
I just went there over the weekend for my State Inspection. They listed whole bunch of things I needed to do to my car (ie. tune up, transmit ion oil change, emission, coolant flush…) the cost came to $ 413. I was shocked by the price. Then I found the package specials they posted on the office’s window wall with all the things they wanted to do to my car for $ 255. I brought the issue up with the manager. His reply was he gave me another package that was for $ 200. The difference between the $ 255 and the $ 200 package was the Tuneup. Then I said fine, give me the $ 200 and add $ 140 Tuneup that was listed and I am still not paying $ 413. He refused to do that because the $ 140 price was part of a package. Then I looked again at the difference between the package. It was the emissions. So I asked the manager what is the retail price for the emissions? He said $ 60. So I told him to change my charge to the $ 255 package and the $ 60. He reluctantly changed the price. While waiting for the work to be done, I read the package listing again. The $ 140 Tuneup charge is the regular retail price.
The manager also told me that I needed to change all four struts on my car because they were rusted. I didn’t trust them so I decline the work to be done by them. I went to Direct Diagnostic Center located at 1801 53^rd street, Brooklyn. They checked my car out and said my car is in good condition. I don’t need to replace them at all. I saw the struts. They had little rust on them. Then we discover that the Bay Parkway Auto Plaza didn’t change my coolants even though they charged me for the service. I will not go there again. This place preys on the elderly. My grandmother takes her car there and they upsell her on services she doesn’t need. They told her she needs new brake pads after 7500 miles (car was a year old then), which she paid for. 7000 miles (after another year) later they recommended brakes and rotors ($ 200 just for the fronts — the rears are drums).
New rotors on a two year old car with less than 15 000 miles on it? Give me a break! These guys will try to sell services you don’t need.
