Went here on a Friday night with my lady friend(girlfriend). As always she picked a great place! We had the chicken kebab small, came with a salad and rice, but we switched the rice for fries. Perfect size for a small if you want just enough. If you’re a soccer fan they play highlights of the Turkish league, along with Turkish music most of the time. Didnt wait too long for the service. Fair price! Great place to try Turkish food!

I’ve had a shwarma and a falafel from this place and both were just mediocre. There are so many middle eastern joints in Bay Ridge that are simply better. Not sure what more to say.

An intriguing menu compared to the other middle eastern places, which often appear to be photocopied reproductions of one another. I was excited by the variety on this menu. While some of the food has been a bit bland, there are some real gems of dishes, too. The staff has been friendly and gave us complimentary dessert on our last order. The restaurant itself is a nice place to sit down and eat. It’s clean and pleasant looking. SOUP Red Lentil: A A unique soup — minty and fresh. SALADSANDCOLDAPPETIZERS Shepherd Salad: A How can a salad warrant an A? It does, trust me. It bursts with great flavor. I would order this again in a heartbeat. Babaganush: B+ Hummus: B+ A plainish hummus. It has an interesting subtle flavor which makes it a B+ instead of a B. Not a «chunky» hummus. Finely blended. A little ho-hum. Could use some more garlic maybe. Tabuleh(sic): A One of the best I’ve ever had. Very oniony/scalliony. Loaded with fresh flavor. Truly incredible. HOTAPPETIZERS Cheese Rolls(Sigara Borek): A– Although I’ve had better, they’re still delicious! They weren’t as tangy as I’ve had elsewhere. Falafel with Hummus: B+ A bit on the bland side. CHICKENONGRILL Chicken Wings Shish Kebab: B Just chicken wings, really. Nicely grill-charred, but just chicken wings. Chicken Combo: A– Insane amount of food; a person shouldn’t eat all this. But very good. HOUSESPECIALS Boneless Beef Ribeye Steak: B– Nicely charred and flavored, but much too dry and tough. Special Adana Kebab: B+ Tasty. Nicely grilled charred. Stuff from Oven Lahmancun(Meat Pie): A– More like«meat pizza». Very thin crust(even thinner than one pita side) with some sauce and meat. I really liked it. HOUSESPECIALSANDWICHES Chicken Gyro(on pita): A Very tasty chicken. Lamb Adana Kebab: B+ A bit dry and bland. Some tahini on it would’ve worked wonders. I had mine on Home Bread which was surprisingly bland and dry. Falafel Sandwich(on pita): A One of the best I’ve ever had. SIDEORDERS French Fries: B Plain Turkish Style Rice: B Plain Yogurt Kebabs Chicken Iskender: A OHMYGOD, THISWASPHENOMENAL! Delicious wet chicken over… I don’t know. Some kind of wonderful bread. I can’t describe it, but Jesus was it spectacular! DESSERTS Baklava: A– Kazandibi: B+ Semolina Cake: A–

Looking for Halal food in Bay Ridge. This shish is delish. A corner Turkish/Mediterranian spot squeezed among many Middle Eastern bakeries and a few Arabic clothing store catering to women. The shish kebab plate was $ 7.99 served with a small shepards salad(tomatoes, cukes, green peppers, with lemon and vinegar) yummy rice with slivers of barley(I think) and the famed warmed Turkish bread. A side of homemade yogurt sauce with dill made this a satisfying lunch. For dessert go to one of the Middle Eastern bakeries on 5th. Ave. for killer baklava.
