Overall a good experience — as good as a drycleaner experience can be — they pick up and deliver at our building — they seem a bit casual about who you are — if you drop it off in person they just take the clothes from you and don’t seem to write anything down — makes one nervous but it makes its way home to us — the same goes for calling in for delivery — I know they use caller id but it is a little spooky that they don’t seem to want to hear you tell them your address, unit number or name…

NEVER NEVER GO HERE unless you want to have your clothes ruined, be insulted and have them encourage you to go to court to settle problems they caused. I took my expensive DKNY down coat with fur hood to get the ZIPPER REPLACED and they didn’t bother to read their own ticket properly, and drycleaned it instead, taking out patches of black color, leaving it looking like I had rubbed against a wall of white paint, and melted the fur part of the hood altogether. I never even saw the fur part again. The lady in the store said I could get reimbursed for the mistake and I should call the owner. THIS GUY offered me only $ 100 to replace an at least $ 350 coat, even though it was completely his company’s fault and they took an action on the coat that I never even requested. They can’t default to «Sometimes things get ruined while drycleaning,» because they were not supposed to clean the coat at all. Each time I explained to him the higher price of the coat and that I could not possibly get a new coat of such caliber for $ 100, he just said yeah yeah and he would only give me $ 100. I told him I was a long-​time customer– nothing changed. I told him I would ask my lawyer about it and he replied «YEAH? SEE YOU IN COURT!» and even gave me his info to present to small claims court. THIS is how you treat a customer? THIS is how you reconcile a mistake you make– rather than owning up you offer to underpay for it or bring everybody to court? This, to me, is astonishing. I will never use them again and I encourage you to avoid this insanity. There is another drycleaner just up the street with a very nice lady at the counter. They have just earned themselves a new customer and Big Apple has lost a long-​time one!

When this dry cleaner first opened, they charged 99 cents per dress shirt. Considering I lived right upstairs, at that price I was able to use them as a lazy, not-​too-​expensive excuse never to do any ironing again. Of course, you do get what you pay for, i.e., sometimes they’d leave tiny errant creases in my shirts, usually near the buttons or cuffs, but I am not nearly so cool or good-​looking that anybody would ever look hard at me enough to notice. (Really, they’re basically invisible if you don’t know they’re there, and for the price, I considered it acceptable losses.)
Fast-​forward a few years to today, when the price has nearly doubled, and I live marginally farther away, and well…$ 1.75 is still pretty cheap, and as luck would have it, I still hate ironing. So if you’re ultra-​serious about looking immaculate each day, this place isn’t for you. But for us lazy slobs whose coworkers are mostly even slobbier, this is the place for occasionally making your clothes look halfway presentable at a still pretty decent price.
That said, I wouldn’t take any flat-​front pants here, because they will no longer be that way when you get them back, no matter how you instruct them beforehand. And while they’re pretty good about hemming pants or even fixing a busted fly (ah, the story behind that one), don’t ask them to shorten the sleeves on a dress shirt unless you plan on then altering it again into a tank top.
Oh, and the lady who runs the place is really quiet, but pretty nice once you get to know her. Back when I lived upstairs she’d always let me have UPS and FedEx packages delivered to her store, which is the kind of free service I always appreciate.
