Great location and atmosphere. The Mac and cheese is delicious it’s topped with cornbread. And the server hooked the margarita up!!!

Great place to eat at after ice skating or exploring the park with friends. We got their avocado salad and mahi mahi sandwich on a pretzel bun, and it was delicious! The girl at the register was also really nice and professional as we ordered. Definitely coming back!

The food is standard fare with a few interestingly named options like the Q-train bowl. It’s also pretty convenient as it’s right by the Le Frak Center. I would recommend the blackened catfish sandwich or the bratwurst. The service can be so-so and the security, somewhat overbearing. There is no standard on whether the front door should remain open or closed. Security frequently told me that the door should remain open because management said so, and when I asked management, they said they preferred to keep the doors closed, but they end up staying open because of the number of people going in and out. The last time I visited the establishment, one of the service workers yelled at me because my toddler was climbing a chair at the table where we had had a snack, while I was packing. I reassured the worker who yelled at me that I was watching my daughter, and that we would soon be leaving. He continued to yell at me, and I felt really uncomfortable and left. Needless to say, I’ve not been back there since. If we are at the Le Frak Center and need food, I either leave the park and go to one of the local eateries or go home.

The good: food. All the options are pretty solid and delicious. The bad: the«security» is weird. They are constantly changing the rules about what tables you are and are not allowed to sit at outside. The hours are random. The booze is way overpriced. It’s convenient but less than ideal

The food at Bluestone unfortunately is fast food style crap. Really to bad, the location is so great. The worst are the salads. The Kale salad comes in a plastic box in which the salad has been sweating for days. It is literally disgusting. They have burgers with a lame excuse of one half lettuce leaf and a old tomato. Also fried fish and other fast food options, all greasy — could be out of a McDonald.

Bluestone wasn’t even open and they sent their goons through to move all the families off of their picnic tables. Businesses should consider it a privilege to be able to operate in a public park. Treat the park’s guests with more respect or move to a place where it’s more acceptable to be dicks to families.

This place is a hidden gem. The fries are completely addicting and the black bean burger is the best veggie burger I’ve found in Brooklyn. Some fairly creative salad options, too. The place can get overrun with kids on weekend afternoons, but they sell alcohol and the setting is pleasant. Lots of big picnic tables. The staff has been friendly and helpful every time I’ve gone. Only complaint is that all of the sides are sold separately and the beer is $ 6 for a can, so if you’re not careful it can get a little pricey.

The portions are small and over priced, but the customer service and the chicken BLT wrap is worth it, the wrap was small but the fluffy chuncks of white meat chicken and crispy beacon cooked nice and crispy made up for the price. of course it is Prospect park so the view is spectacular. Thd Department of Youth and Child Development hosted an event there yesterday and the staff was warm, friend, and professional. The coffee was hot and fresh and I didn’t have to beg for Splenda it was available on the table, seriously many restaurants have Splenda somewhere in the back and you must ask for it, then they bring you three small yellow packs from the mysterious«back» almost in a whisper«here you are», like they’re doing you a damn favor(can you tell I’m serious about my coffee?). Okay back to the review. You will pay about $ 8.00 for frankfurter and french fries, but its Prospect Park on the lake… gorgeous.

I wasn’t sure what to get and I was taking a while to decide. I guess the head chef, Ian, noticed so he came over and recommended the avocado salad. Glad he did. It was amazing. He personally made it and brought it out. What a nice guy. Completely surprised by the quality of food at this place. Not your typical park restaurant with unhealthy fried food(they have that too though). Will be back.

One of the best eateries in the neighborhood. Artisanal bread and quality meats in the sandwiches. The fried schnitzel and BBQ pulled pork are my faves. Battered fries are good too. Service is friendly and super efficient. This is not your average rink-side fast-food – it’s cuisine.

This review is a little late — I came here last summer. Really great find for sure! It’s casual and is hard to find. It’s actually in Prospect Park, so you need to n=know you’re looking for it. Seating outside is fantastic and the food is quite good. The menu has something for everyone, so it’s a good place for groups. I will not hesitate to come here again next summer!

what a hidden gem! this casual restaurant is hiding in prospect park, attached to the ice skating rink. the menu is as diverse and actually GOOD quality! i have not seen so many spinach artichoke dips on tables since CPK in highschool. i ordered fish tacos(came w/2) and hot cider while watching curling, yes curling, take place outside on a lovely sunday afternoon. all for around $ 12! they had zucchini sticks, kale salads, yummy looking fries… the works. great place to try out in the middle of the park!
