Bp Gas/7 Eleven

Pleasantly surprised with this location. The staff in the 7 eleven were all so very nice and helpful. I usually go to the 7 Eleven in Park Slope and I surely do not get the same helpfulness and pleasant atmosphere there. I’m glad I stopped and the gas prices were also great at this Bp location

I only go to 7-​eleven in a pinch, like when I need a snack or coffee and nothing else is open. This location is almost not worth the convenience. The staff are incredibly rude, and I typically spend the 1 – 2 minute checkout period awkwardly waiting for my change while two guys behind the counter talk and/​or fight, which I always find rude when I’m in the middle of a business transaction with someone. Maybe I’m sensitive, but it’s at least awkward for anyone. Additionally I have never, ever been looked at during a transaction at this location — it’s like I’m not even standing there! I’m not asking for 5-​star service at a 7-​eleven, believe me. But a little human decency or acknowledgement would be appreciated. I was there today, and three employees were screaming at each other from all across the store. I went to the counter to pay and two of the employees met there at the same time. To my surprise they kept up the intensity and volume of their dispute, and so I heard every word of it– as did the 3 other customers waiting in line. After a few tense moments, the employee holding my debit card asked the other employee why he «always disappears when there are difficult customers.» He responded angrily and said something like «I am here for hours every day dealing with them.» They are miserable, and maybe that’s just the burden of working for 7-​eleven, but these guys make sure the customers know it. It’s worth the extra effort to go to the nearby Fulton Street location instead.

Pumps often refuse multiple good credit cards requiring a wait inside for the attendant. Then one must specify how much should be charged, making it impossible to fill the tank.
Nozzles must be hand held to pump.
I do use the Amazon Locker located in the 7 – 11 and would like to utilize their gas pumps, but it’s too much of a hassle.

My go-​to station. It’s well-​kept, close to my apartment and the price is in line with other stations. There’s never a crowd here and they have a large 7-​Eleven.
