Brian Levitt – State Farm Insurance Agent

My husband and I were first time home buyers and we didn’t have any idea of what we needed in homeowners insurance. Brian Levitt was like working with a member of our family. He told us exactly what we needed and what we didn’t need when it came to our homeowners insurance. He was always very prompt in answering our questions and getting the necessary items completed to ensure we were ready to close on our house. We feel comfortable knowing our new home is properly insured and we have a friendly, reliable and trustworthy person to turn to if we should ever need anything. I just bough my first car, so this was my first experience getting insurance. I got plenty of quotes from several different companies (Progressive, Allstate, E-​surance, Geico, etc) and none were able to compete with this branch. Even when another company had better coverages, State Farm adjusted their quote so that they could match it for a better price.
The agent that helped me with my quote (and has continued to be helpful along the way) was Patrycja Schmidt. She is clear, patient (which was nice for a first time buyer), and has been very supportive in the process ever since. She responds quickly to emails, and always makes me feel like I made the right move.
Paying for car insurance is a rude awakening into the real world, but so far so good with this State Farm branch.

Horrible service. Couldn’t even get them to increase my policy limits — took repeated phone calls and they still never did get back to me, for a high dollar policy too! Unbelievable. Would not recommend.

Couldn’t agree more with the review about them being rude and unfamiliar with their policies. Dreadful customer service that makes me question why I’d ever buy insurance from them.

I have been a customer for a couple years. My policy amount has been increased twice within this year but without notification or explanation. The people who answer the phone are rude and are not familiar with the policies. I am pushed to pay amounts that I did not approve or were not explained. I am not treated like a customer — when I have questions about my policy I am treated like a pest and quickly recommended to cancel my policy.

Highly recommend Brian Levitt in South Park Slope. Talk about going the extra mile…
It was a cold blistery morning, I turn my key in the car and it sounded like one person in the universe was snapping their fingers. Must be the battery. Being new to the area, I called my insurance agent’s office (Brian Leavitt, State Farm) for an auto-​shop recommendation. Well, Brian personally came out to try to start my car. I found that amazing. This agent is a keeper.
