This place is not as bad as Rose says. lol. I think she needs to try the pizza(she acknowledged this notion), because the place is called«Brick Oven Pizza.» I’ve had their pizza twice, and given the convenience of being close to Downstate, the variety of exotic toppings, and the reasonable prices, this is a damn good deal for some quick pizza by the hospital. The interior also has a pleasant ambience; you almost feel like you’re not in East Flatbush when you’re in there. I’m definitely coming back multiple times in the future. You ain’t got many choices around the hospital and this place is definitely one of the deserving ones.

This is one of those restaurants on «the strip:» the small block and half of food stores where Kings County and Downstate hospital workers come to eat lunch. And unfortunately, «the strip» hasn’t been known to give quality foods, because they KNOW they will have continual business from those at the hospital who’s sick of cafeteria food. I didn’t come here for their pizza, but now I think I should have. I wanted to try their Chicken Gyro, which was TERRIBLE! I asked for everything on, and they ended up adding so much white sauce that it completely ruined the entire platter. The whole dish just tasted so acidic that I felt as if I was getting a heartburn with the meal. I mean, the meal came with kebab chicken, rice, salad(cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes), and it looked AMAZING! I was so disappointed that it didn’t taste as good as it looked. I should have gotten a chicken and rice platter from the cart just outside! It would have cost less AND tasted better! Lesson learned: DON’T GETIT! If you crave gyro/kebab that badly, get it from the outside cart! My friend had their curry chicken on display, which was also a disappointment. The chicken was soooo dry; it’s as if the chicken has been sitting there for a LONG time. SIGH… I hate it when restaurants disappoint.
