A disclaimer: this place is awfully run. Just, the pits. BUT — and this is my third visit there in 3 weeks — the podiatry staff is great. This is the Williamsburg clinic for Brooklyn Hospital. They do not have diagnostic tests, so be prepared to travel to the main hospital in Fort Greene should you require one. Dr Olantunde and his DPM residents were personable, helpful and seemed knowledgable. I may not be able to assess the quality of care that I’m receiving here(or anywhere, really), but I feel good and confident about it, which is as much as one can ask for, really, in treating a chronic condition. Unfortunately, the clinic is so inefficient that(for instance) I didn’t get to see the doctor, because my patience(and my schedule’s allotted time) ran out after fifty minutes — but that’s probably the fault of nobody who works here. You will wait 30, 45, 60 minutes past the time of your appointment, guaranteed. When the doctor is ready to see you, they literally holler from one end of the railroad hail to the poor souls seated in the«reception» area, resembling a DMV. If you want the water cooler and plants and magazines, forget it. The two ladies that staff the front desk(I won’t call them«receptionists» because there’s no receiving nobody here) are straight-up mean, in a way that’s almost charming because they’re sixty and tiny and speak in yiddish to each other and this is Brooklyn. The lady who processed an x-ray order for me made an error, which was discovered after I trekked down to Brooklyn Hospital with the form — suggesting some degree of administrative incompetence — but the bigger problem is probably just that this place is old and tired and stretched in terms of budget.

Stay away from this place. They are crooks they charge you for test they never perform. If you have private insurance one office visit can cost you $ 2000. You will wait for hours to see what doctor is available. The receptionist are rude and will not acknowledge you while standing directly in front of them. The worst place ever I would rather go to the emergency room than deal with this unprofessional hell hole. Stay away from this place.
