Rudest people ever. Just like others said. This person starts cursing at me for no reason. Even saying awful things about women. A joke of a business. Look elsewhere!

These guys are such ass holes. I literally just got off the phone with them after being on the phone for less than 2 minutes explaining what I’m looking for. I’m not a window gate expert I’m a creative individual looking for some security in my office — apparently this guy only wants to do business with people who know EVERYTHING there is to know about windows… I told him I needed a gate for a 10 foot by 5 foot window (I’m sure this is quite costly and would have been good business) Instead of working it out himself he says that I have to tell him what the measurements are in inches… I proceeded to give him the measurements in inches and after explaining that it’s a double pane window he told me to find someone else and hung up on me — save your breath and don’t even try calling them. Not worth the time or energy.

LOL… these are the first words out of his mouth… are these people serious!!! I could go on to describe how he hung up on me b/​c I said i’m shopping around. Sorry Ross (one of the other Unilocal reviews), i have to disagree… there’s nothing wrong with saying you’re shopping around. Seriously, enough sed… Don’t buy from these bozos. I don’t care how solid their window guards are, i’m sure there are plenty of other vendors with quality products and who know how to do business in the real world.

Wow how rude! I just called this company to get a quote on getting window bars put in. I explained to whoever picked up the phone that I was looking to get bars put on my windows. He asked me if I was looking for a cheap junk job or if I was looking to get it done right at a decent price. I told him I was looking to get it done right. He went on to explain to me that the bars with the extension for the AC is $ 465 per window and the straight ones are $ 275 per window. I told him well that is a little pricy for me because I just bought this house and am not sure I can afford this right now, but before I could even finish what I was saying he started to berate me.
He went on to say «So right now all you’re doing is shopping around for a junk job and if that’s the case then you need to call a cheap Chinese company… etc». Before he could finish I shook my head in disbelief and hang up. I thought to myself is this guy for real?
Well I went on to read their reviews on Unilocal to find out that the one person that gave them a negative review was pretty much treated the same way. Someone form the company responded to her review and called her troll amongst other things. Unbelievable that a company can be so unprofessional. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

I needed some security gates taken down as part of a requirement from my lender to get through underwriting. They met me at the property to provide an estimate. He was consistently late for every appointment but he charged me fair and reasonable price. I ended up needing him to take down one more gate afterwards and he was flexible and understood the urgency and did it the following day.

We were very satisfied with the work well done. Our gate had to be custom made to fit our non-​standard window, and it was done within a few days. Brooklyn Security Window Gates provided us with a great, fast, and reliable service and we will recommend them to others!

I was broken into and distraught– called a company to find out they wouldn’t help me in the interim until the actual gate was installed. A cordial and sympathetic installer named Duane came and put in a temporary fix until the gate was ready.
EDIT 2÷8÷11− pending completion of the prepaid gate and new lock install I will complete this review.
EDIT 2÷11÷11− took 10 days but the job is now complete. If you are looking for security and don’t mind waiting to get the work done, this is the way to go. He requires ½ of the payment up front in cash, that said I paid IN FULL UP FRONT hoping to show my urgency in my situation. It seems this doesn’t matter as much as their comfort with «finding parking in the area». These are facts and this was my experience.
Edit 4÷21÷15 I DARE you to post my information on here. Not only will you be charged with harassment-​but all of your hilarious soliloquies will live in infamy. This guy is a hardcore psychopath. I’m glad he has all of the facts messed up and he lacks the brain capacity to remember exactly what I told him I did for a living. He followed up to write a dissertation. I’ll leave you with this-​anyone who had that much time on his hands to be that much of a vile human being-don’t let that person in your home, near your children, much less trust them with the security of your place. He’s an obvious unstable Internet bully.

5 stars! I just moved into my new apartment, and I never thought I would say this, but my window gates are beautiful! Brooklyn Security Window Gates came in, measured the windows, explained my options, and we made our selection via samples and pictures. Considering the number of secured windows in NY, I found it a little difficult to begin the process of choosing a company to complete this service, but I am so happy I chose Brooklyn Security Window Gates. Duane was easy to talk to, and very meticulous. In a matter of days, the gates were customized and installed. I would highly recommend this company.
