Burger It Up

When I want a burger I am not playing!
Decided to try this place last night with my boyfriend. It was a decent atmosphere and our waitress was nice.
We ordered the Peruvian burger, his with salad & mine with spicy fries.
When it said «marinated angus» I figured this burger has to be tasty!
Not the case. The patty itself was tasteless. Thankfully we asked the waitress to make them «medium» because initially she didn’t ask how we wanted them at all.
The spicy fries though! ON POINT, compensated for the burger.
Point; if you just want a BUGER that’s exactly what you’ll get here.

Came here last weekend. I try my best to come a few times a year here. I ordered my usual chimi burger and the peruvian burger for my GF. Tasty as all hell i swear. I dont know what the other reviewers are talking about regarding service. I never had an issue with them, but then again, who knows what goes on any other day. I can say that I am lucky to see this place change through the years. the décor has changed alot and they have a full bar. They still support local artist by displaying their paintings/​photos inside and they are for sale.
I did notice that they hold back on the pickles now, they used to be bigger and thicker, but now they are smaller and skinnier. No biggie though because sometimes locations will need to do that in order to save on costs. The fries are always a treat, freshly cut and tasty with or without the spices.
I am a patron of this place, and I personally enjoy flavor in my burgers, which is why I have been coming here for so long.

I think they have (some of) the best burger (s) in Bushwick.
They’re a little forceful with the pickles, not everyone wants your pickles bro. Some of us just want a double order of fries, is that so wrong?

The best burger joint in Brooklyn hands down! Amazing chimis as well and great service. I will be coming again

Decent hipster burger spot. Pretty good prices but considering they are a burger joint they way over cooked the burger I got. Very small location, few tables but not a comfortable feeling. Great if you’re a hipster who doesn’t care about good food or comfortable chairs. Overall I would steer away from the location if you have other options. If not, u won’t throw the food away, but you may be a bit disappointed.

The food was very good.
Not too much of a soda person. I just wish I have some lemonade or iced tea to go with it other than that a great place music very good

Far from the best I’ve had but definitely not the worst. We sat down and had burgers and fries. The food took longer than we expected but that’s not a problem. If you are in a hurry, you may want to order in advance.
I ordered my burger with mozzarella cheese and it came with American cheese… not a big deal but not quite what I wanted. My boyfriend ordered his burger with onions among other things and he was served a burger with no onions… again not a big deal.
The brand of soda we were served was gross… not sure of the name. Their pina coladas were pretty gross as well.
The spicy fries were outstanding as were their regular fries. The food is fresh and the woman who took care of us was friendly.
I don’t know if we will be back again but it was definitely a good time had with my bf.

The cheese burger was delicious it came with fries and pickle, service on point, beer was cold what more can I ask for,
Would definitely recommend this cozy burger joint.

The stars are for the burger, not the fries covered in chili flakes. The lack of stars are for the worst service I’ve had in a long time.
The service here is beyond terrible. I’ve had three different servers. All of them with terrible attitudes who want nothing to do with their job. I wait tables. I get it, people can be awful. But these folks are miserable.
If you’re desperate for a burger… Have it delivered.

Great burgers, small quite place. I came in on Sunday with my gf and had a pleasant time. She ordered the Peruvian burger which was delicious and I got the Chorizo burger which is a bit spicy but still has great taste. The only downside is the quantity of fries but still a 5star review.
Would definitely be back.

I woke up on a Sunday after a heavy night out, and wanted a hot meal. Walked around Bushwick, and eventually stumbled upon Burger It Up. I was not disappointed.
Burgers come with fries (or spicy fries) and start at just 8.95 $ for the classic. I had the Top of the Morning burger, with fried egg and bacon. Bun was delicious and supple, meat was cooked just right and all in all, it was a pretty filling meal.
Also, it’s cash only, but they have an ATM. Will definitely come back to this lovely hole in the wall with burgers on point.

Love this place! Its one of those beautiful little hole in the walls it has great food amazing atmosphere and makes you feel right at home! I love this place!

I don’t understand what’s going on with this place. Their Seamless page is still up and taking orders, their answering machine tells you their hours, and yet this place has been closed all day and night… And it’s SATURDAY.
Did the business close altogether? Because if it has, they should probably tell the internet.
And if it hasn’t, they suck at running at a business.

I’m giving it 3 stars because the food took 1h to come to our table after we ordered, and the place was not so busy. The waiter told us the reason was the fact that our party was big (8 ppl). As we were a big party they decided to serve other tables with smaller parties that arrives later than us (not nice at all!!!). To apologize for the delay the waiter offered us a liquor at the end of the meal and this let me to add one more star to this review. Service need to improve a lot! They did not bring us napkins, cutlery and dressing for the salad.
Food was cheap and decent. I got the veggie burger with avocado and it was good. A friend took the knickerbocker burger and said it was really good too. Fries that come as side are disappointing as are greasy and not crunchy at all (I had the impression they are prepared before and just warm up in a microwave before serving).

My favorite veggie burger ever! I get it with avocado and bbq sauce. And I love the spicy fries.

We were here for dinner on a Thursday night. The place wasn’t busy at all. The place is somewhat cozy. It’s not big but not small either.
We got the Peruvian burger & the veggie burger. Both burgers came with a choice of salad or fries & pickles. We choose the spicy fries. If you like spicy food, the spicy fries is spicy, you’ll definitely like the fries. Both burgers were great! Delicious! Not all burgers came with cheese. $ 2 extra if you want to add cheese.
The portion is pretty good for the price. If you have a big appetite, you won’t be stuffed but it’ll be just enough. We were hungry when we got there & left feeling satisfied.
The service was good. Our waitress were polite & friendly. The food took a little long to come but not that bad.
This place is CASH ONLY! Make sure you have enough cash or there is an ATM nearby. Well, the food & drinks here aren’t expensive. Our bill came out to about $ 21.
This place is definitely worth stopping by especially if you live nearby.

Talk about coooozy! Large enough for a decent crowd of about 50 but too small for a theatre crowd, Burger It Up opened up about 4 yrs ago.
The classic burger was ordered, sized up and selfishly savored. The glazed top burger bread was light in substance which counts for a lot; less flour to taste. The marinated meat was not oversized but was more than enough with the addition of the lettuce, tomato, onions and pickle… (Pickles I don’t eat).
There was an option with the fries: regular or spicy. I tasted both but opted to get the regular. They were both lightly seasoned however the spicy had a slight zing. A zing even a toddler can tolerate.
To go with my order I tried the Boylan ginger ale because of the look of the bottle. To my surprise, it did taste better/​smoother than others I’ve had.
There’s a Dj on Thursday nights, and games like Jenga and pac man are available to the customers to be played. Lively, friendly comfortable environment.

Not sure what happened since this place first opened. 60 minute wait for delivery on a Saturday night at 6pm for a (1) kids Cheese Burger and fries that cost $ 16? No thanks.

My husband was craving a burger so we decided to check this place out.
He had the Peruvian and I had the top of the morning. Burgers were decent, but nothing wowed us. The burgers were huge and prices were awesome compared to most Bushwick restaurants. The sangria was on point and I enjoyed it. Had fresh apple & pineapple pieces.
What I didn’t like was there was no where to place your jacket/​coat. Most restaurants in Bushwick do have picnic seats though. They told me there’s a compartment underneath my chair and I had no choice to place it there. Otherwise 1– I have to hold in my lap and risk getting it dirty with my food 2– wear it and be uncomfortable (it was a huge puffy north face jacket). I was turned off because I knew the compartment was filthy, workers probably never clean it, and oh yea I saw people in the other table using it as a foot (heel) rest. Ew.
Service was just okay. Nice and did their job but you can tell they didn’t want to be working and were very monotone. Guess I can’t blame there because it’s like a fast food place. But that’s something the owner has to think about in terms of the direction he/​she wants to take with the investment. Being dead on a Saturday night even though it’s end of November… is never a good sign.

mmmmmm delicious burgers that taste like homemade kebobs.
Was in the area and wanted to try something different, this is probably the only burger joint in Bushwick that makes legit burgers. I got the Chimichurri — the bread they use for this particular burger is a bit different (oblong). If anything I thought my burger was bigger than my friends (success!) — he ordered the Knickerbocker. It was juicy and messy and all around delicious. It definitely hit the spot. Now onto the spicy fries with chipotle mayo… I am salivating. Fries are definitely fresh and they aren’t spicy to me at all, they have a little bit of red flakes that adds a tiny kick. +1.
The only downside is to add cheese… its $ 2.00… what? ITS CHEESE. CHEESE GOES ON BURGERS.
