Love this place. Especially their happy hour. Make sure you get yourself a groupie card for your next visit(their version of a rewards card). I always get the margaritas and mini chimichangas. Delicious deep fried mini burritos, comes 3 per order 1 beef, 1 chicken and 1 veggie. Soooo delicious

The food at Burrito Bar is decent. It is not the first place that comes to mind for Mexican food but the two meals that I have had here were satisfying. Almost everytime I pass this place, it is packed and there is a good mixture of people, from families with children to couples, to groups of young adults. When the weather is nice, they lift the walls and have indoor/outdoor seating. Now that that’s out of the way, let me get to the real reason why I’m writing this review: the Maui Wowie. It is such a delicious drink and I suggest that you try one or a frozen margarita the next time you visit. Seriously try the Maui Wowie… in the big glass. One of those will have you feeling amazing.

This was a great place to go eat with family in town. Service was good, guacamole was amazing, and the food was pretty good.

I was treated with so much hostility from the moment I walked in. I sat at the bar and proceeded to look at the drink menu and attempt to order a drink, while the bartender literally hounded me for my ID. She spoke with so much aggression and gave me such a hard time with ordering. And also tried to charge me for a friends drink because my friend didn’t like it and tried to return it. Avoid her if you decide to go there!!!

Good food, music, service and not expensive. Excellent for the summer if you want to get some cocktails and latin food in the outdoors.

This place annoys me to no end. Reservations were made for 6pm, I arrived at 5:30 and checked in with the hostess. I kindly asked if it was possible for us to sit outside or a table close to the outside. The hostess was kind and entered the request for me. My whole party arrived promptly at 6. The hostess tells us they are setting up the table. We wait another 10 minutes and a man comes out and tells us any minute now because the previous patrons just got their check. It was just a story he made up to appease us. He also told us a reservation does not guarantee a table at that time, it puts you on priority on the wait list. I’ve never heard such bull. Mediocre food + terrible customer service = unhappy Jeannie

Atmosphere was cool very lively and service was okay too. Very busy and has a good crowd but the food and drinks left much to be desired. Didn’t like the fact that items on the menu are«as is» as our waiter stated. This is the first Mexican restaurant I’ve been too where they don’t really cater to their guest it like just pick something and order. Hopefully your not allergic to anything in the menu like I was or your options are extremely limited. I didn’t like the frozen margarita either it was extremely bitter and tasted like cheap alcohol but I ordered another one on the rocks and it was pretty decent. Don’t think I’ll be going back here anytime soon

Came two days in a row. Had half of nachos and a burrito. Great atmosphere and the server was on point.

This place! These people! So AMAZING! I arrived way too early for my date(I’m always late so this was new.) I gave the hostess, who was drop dead gorgeous btw, my information for seating. Burrito bar uses a texting system when your seat is ready and it comes with 50% off your first drink! I sat at the bar, whose bar chairs were comfortable #rare the bartender whipped me up a lime margarita that made me miss home. I had forgotten how good Margaritas could be and probably hadn’t had one since I left Cali 4 years ago. The only downside is that they couldn’t accept cards with chips and there was no ATM inside. However notes on this are everywhere. In the menus, behind the bar etc. I texted my date and told him the sits. Date arrived and took care of my drink and the hostess(did I mention how awesome she was?) came over and sat us. He had the salmon burger which I thought was weird to order in a Burrito Bar and I had the taco salad with shrimp. Our guacamole lady hooked us up with some spicy avocados. I probably demolished most of it. My date hardly ate his food. I had our server take my shell away or I would kept nawing on it. Btw, our server was Very attentive and polite. She got everything right. Date ended well. Good customer service always improves the night! Shout out to Burrito Bar. I’m coming back for brunch! Make sure you buy grapefruit juice(or soda) so we can make Palermos!

Burrito Bar is like so famous. Every time I tell someone I want a good Mexican spot with great drinks someway somehow they always recommend Burrito Bar. Simply put they have good food, GREAT drinks, and a cool ambience. Nothing to brag about but I won’t downplay how it makes me feel. I like coming here but I just wish sometimes the service was better. When it comes to service it’s a hit or miss. Their drinks are REALLY good though and when I come here that’s usually the only reason why so they’re good in my book.

Used to be my favorite spot for a good margarita with 5 stars but I’m here now and the margaritas are super duper sour. Not a huge fan of that. On top of it, I told the bartender and she tried to add sugar to it but it really just tastes awful. Maybe because it’s happy hour? Not sure but I may not be coming back for another. –We went 1 hour before the end of happy hour.

I’ve been to this location about two times, and I must say the food here is pretty decent. Both times that I came here I got the chicken quesadillas and the guacamole! The guacamole is out of this world! The chicken quesadillas are mediocre, nothing I would specifically recommend to anyone. The frozen margaritas compliment the food very well, my personal favorite would be the watermelon one! The staff is nice and friendly and I think its a great spot to hangout with friends.

I’ve come to Burrito Bar a couple of times, and I came again last night. It was really crowded and the hostess told us we had a half hour wait for 3, luckily after a few minutes we were able to grab a couple of seats at the bar to wait. The atmosphere here is always really fun and lively which I like when going for dinner on the weekend. We sat by the bar for close to an hour waiting and ordering a couple of rounds of drinks. The manager was really nice and came over to us, first making sure we put our names down, and the second time to see if we were enjoying our drinks. When we were finally seated, we brought our drinks to the table and were greeted quickly by a friendly waiter. He brought us over glasses, pitcher of water, chips & salsa. We looked over the menu for a bit and decided to order the mile high nachos and calamari as an appetizer. The nachos were delicousssssssss, they were covered in cheese and beans and everything, ugh so good! As an entrée I got the taco salad with grilled chicken, my sister got the taco salad with shrimp and my mom got a shredded chicken burrito bowl. The salad was good, they offer a salad dressing which I think had ginger in it which was absolutely delicious. My mom expected the burrito bowl to be in a taco shell bowl rather than an actual bowl, which was disappointing for her, though the menu didn’t specify that it came in a taco shell. The food and drinks are good and decently priced. The staff is really nice and they try to be accommodating with the long wait. I’ll probably come back again in the warmer months when I can sit outside.

Extremely surprised I haven’t wrote a review, I’ve been coming here for over ten years, we usually come during the week, there is no wait, not that crowded, and if you’re driving, it’s easier to find parking. The fresh guacamole is good, always have to add more salt, they also make it table side, which I guess is cool. I always order the mini chimis, it comes with three, and is on the appetizer menu, but I love them! They have them three different ways, but I always order all chicken. My husband on the other hand had tried different stuff from the menu, and loved it all, recently we ordered the chili, and it was very good, not too spicy, had just enough kick to it. Customer service has never been a problem, or else I would have written this review ten years ago, you can order from seamless, which we have, and surprisingly delivery is very fast! And the food is still warm.

Fun place! Can’t tell you how many times I’ve passed this place that finally decided to come here for a girl’s night. Our group arrived around 7:30pm and it was fairly packed. Sat at the bar, until a table was ready, and had a few margarita’s which were half price, but only at the bar since happy hour finished at 7pm. $ 4 rita’s served in a tall glass, not bad for the price. Once our table was ready we ordered table side guacamole, which was tasty. For dinner we decided on nachos with chicken and beans, burrito, and Tiny Tim taco’s. I really enjoyed the nachos and wasn’t expecting such a HUGE plate of food. For $ 8, it is a really good deal. They aren’t kidding when they say 8 mile high nachos! Massive pile of chips, slathered with cheese, guac, beans, and tons of other fixings. I wasn’t able to eat everything and had plenty to last me throughout the week! The staff was attentive and friendly and even took care of my friend who didn’t like her coconut flavored margarita. We even got free hats with our food! Overall it was a fun time, I would be back for happy hour and appetizers.

Really basic spot, OK food and meh service. I only frequent this place cuz of their strong frozen margaritas during«hippie» hour. Tip: They offer FREEFOOD during hippie hour — just ask for it. It’s a small bowl of shredded chicken, rice, and beans. Bland but FREE — so go for it.

The ambience is stellar for a group of friends going out to have a good time. Very colorful and music is quite loud making for some wonderful energy. As far as food goes, it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t wow either. I did enjoy the ‘8 Miles High Nachos’ which had shredded chicken and melted cheese in it. Mandatory 18% tip FYI.

Love Burrito Bar! I have somewhat of an obsession with nachos(eat them weekly) and am on the hunt for the best nachos in NYC. So far, Burrito Bar is in the lead! Their nachos are a nice portion, include quac and sour cream, and come with a ton of beans(if you select the black been one version, which I always do). I just wish they’d also add a bit of refried beans as well, would be perfect! Anyway, the rest of their food is good as well. Yummy spiced fries and smoothies. Also, super friendly hostess.

Stopped by this place with my mentee and liked what I saw. The place is colorful and fun and the prices are descent. The service was pretty prompt but I did have an issue with one of my drinks. I originally ordered the Strawberry Margarita and it was … nasty it just tasted like liquor and rotten strawberries. After a few sips I asked the waiter if I cold change my drink for a Pina Colada. He did but I was disappointed to see both drinks on my bill . As for food I had the salmon burger, it was good but a little on the dry side. This was not the best experience I have had but I give 4 star for potential and a colorful, friendly, and fun atmosphere. I hope to try this place again at some point.

I decided to come here last week with a girlfriend of mine. She raved about the drinks of this restaurant and I’ve also considered checking it out myself. One thing I can definitely day about Burrito Bar, the ambience is definitely beautiful. The décor inside is absolutely beautiful. My friend and I decided to sit outside. It was very windy at night and we were freezing. We proceeded to order the multi colored tortilla chips and the mild tomato salsa. The salsa was blended very well and the blue corn chips were very tasty as well. My friend ordered the Maui Wowie jug that we shared and I ordered the frozen Piña Colada. The Maui Wowie was VERY strong. The Piña Colada was very sweet yet it was diluted with the right amount of alcohol in it. My friend and I also shared the Honey BBQ wings. The wings were fried and very crispy and they were drenched in the sauce which tasted similar to a cheap bottled generic brand BBQ sauce you can find in your local supermarket. My friend and I concluded that they weren’t our favorite part of dinner. I ordered the Burrito Gordito. This has chorizo, pork, beef and chicken. It is accompanied with sour cream and guacamole. I could not finish this burrito. It is much bigger than the burrito at Chipotle. I literally had more than half left because it was way too much to finish after eating our appetizers. So I asked for a doggy bag as did my friend. My friend and I did enjoy our time here. The reggaeton was pretty loud. The wind made it hard to enjoy sitting outside, so we did have to wrap our dinner up after a while. The loud horn of the ambulance passing by made it hard to enjoy the music playing. Aside from that, everything else went well. Our waiter was pleasant and very helpful regarding all of our questions on the menu. The only thing that I dislike is the mandatory 18% gratuity added to the bill for a party of two. That is ridiculous for it to be mandatory for two people as I always tip no less than 20%. Also, they do not accept AMEX nor do they do accept Discover. They only accept cash, Mastercard and Visa.

When we arrived a pretty blonde hostess with the naturally sultry eyelashes smiles and chimed our wait time would be 15 minutes, we gave her our names and sat at the bar, we received a text that gave us 50% of off first Margarita, the drinks were average, but the over sized straws was magic, and our pomegranate mojitos arrive with sprigs of sugar cane. The salsa was average and the chips were crispy and colorful, however I should have ordered the hand made guacamole which is prepared at your table and seasoned to your taste. When our table was ready we received another text and we sat outside on the sidewalk dining area and soaked up the sun. Our server was professional but extremely busy. We had to send the bus boy to fetch our server so we could place our order. I ordered the taco salad with lightly pan seared salmon and the cilantro dressing, it was great, the salmon was seasoned and cooked the way I requested. This was an average experience nothing earth shattering, no «ah-ha» moments, no over the top customer service… just average, but I will return for the guacamole and to soak up some sun.
