A lackluster choice for brunch: Food: Watery home fries served w an average omelette and 3 pieces of lettuce Drinks: Small Bloody Mary which was about 70% ice cubes Service: Asked for toast, got the wrong kind, then asked for butter and none appeared Restroom: No paper towels Price: All of the above was just shy of $ 20 + tip To be be fair maybe I should have gone for Argentine food, but I won’t be going back

This place is average at best… The steak was overpriced and tough as old boots. — I’ll give this place 2stars because their empanadas were good and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, I was less than pleased with my meal and it wasn’t cheap either!

This is some of the best steak I’ve ever had, including well known steakhouses. It’s a nice restaurant to dine both inside and outside. Great wine selection and nice wait staff. It’s usually the place I recommend to people looking to eat in Williamsburg.

Came for brunch, probably of the best huevos rancheros I’ve had. My friend said the burger was really good too. Most of the prices are reasonable, bloody Mary’s are $ 9 which is a little high considering they weren’t really that big, but the food was so good that it made up for it.

I was looking for a romantic weekday dinner for My husband and I. We came across this place. The atmosphere is dim with candles. Kinda romantic. The music was perfect. I don’t give this place a 5 star because the red sangria wasn’t that great. For $ 40 I think it needed a bit more alcohol. Believe me I’ve had my share of sangrias and this one does not take the prize. The food on the other hand was great. I really enjoyed my shirt steak which came with fries chimichuri sauce and a red roasted pepper sauce which were both fab. The steak was cooked to perfection. My husband had a paella which at first seemed as a small portion. To his surprise it was actually a lot. It was welled cooked and very flavorful. The rice has a good amount of seafood and the flavor was very seafood flavor. It also has like this cheesy cream stuff on top and believe you me its delicious. The staff is very very friendly and helpful when asked what do they recommend as it was our first time eating at their Resturant. Next time I will try they crab meat empanadas which they didn’t have the day I went. I completed my dinner with sweet and tasty churro which comes with a chocolate and Nutella dip. I washed it down with a cappuccino.

Great food, great service, they have tv’s so you can watch any soccer match you’ll like! And the huevos rancheros and the empanadas(beef Malbec and provolone) are obligatory

The service is always great here and I usually go during brunch with a party of 6. I have only been here for brunch so I can’t comment on the rest of the menu. The menu for brunch is limited, but the prices are great. I have tried all their brunch options and will say that the food is good. Contrary to diner food, I don’t see or taste the grease on my omlettes or fries, which is a plus for me. The huevos rancheros do taste a little bland, which is why I didn’t give them 5 stars. What i like about this place is the cool, mellow atmosphere. They always have great music playing. Their coffee is really strong, which is also a plus. They don’t include service charge for 6 or more so be generous.

Corner-located venue in Williamsburg with good sangria and live music(I was there on a Friday night). The menu looked amazing; however, I can only speak for the Camaronnes Al Gril which was shrimp sauteed in a garlic and lemon sauce. Really delicious, but a shame that they don’t serve rice(at all),

I am obsessed about Argentine cuisine, so let’s get my bias out of the way. However I will be short and to the point in this place. Décor: OK for a café/restaurant. Didn’t mind the lack of the typical rustic decoration given the fact this is technically a café Service: EXCELLENT For food I only had: a chicken empanada, beef empanada, a chorizo and a fernet & coke. The chorizo: not the standard argentine sausage taste. Came a little bit undercooked but the waiter brought it back to the kitchen for a little more time in the«oven»(I thought it was GRILLED). The taste I was looking for still wasn’t there; it almost tasted like a regular Italian sausage… Either it was that or it was not recently made. The beef empanadas: not crusty enough for my taste but the beef inside and the olives made up for it. Again, not the best ones but nowhere near the worst. Is there a word for that? Oh yeah, mediocre… The chicken empanadas: same consistency as above but they were way tastier than the beef ones. 8⁄10 on these ones. Chimichurri: a ghost image of the real Chimichurri found in other places. Left a lot to desire I don’t want to rate this place 2 stars since I did not have any steak. But from the little tidbits I had, I will have to be near and really hungry to come back to this place

I’m a local and I’ve worked in hospitality. I’m extra sensitive to poor service but I have to say that Café Argentino is a casual café with a great menu and attentive staff. I’ve been coming here for so long because it’s consistent food for dinner and brunch, and the servers have great memory!!! They will tell you what you ordered last time and ask you if you want that again. This is rare, and a quality that sometimes you don’t even find in more upscale places. What I love: –friendly staff –for dinner: skirt steak, malbec empanadas, salmon main, chicken with mushroom sauce, and the parrillada is a whole lot of meat so if you have carnivorous friends order it and you will most definitely be satisfied. Healthier choices are available and as simple as a Criolla salad is, it’s seasoned very well with the dressing. –for brunch: no wait!!! :D huevos rancheros(rare in the neighborhood now that dumont closed), steak and eggs(a great value compared to the $ 19 option at le barricou), eggs benedict are on point and again— GREATVALUE. What I don’t like: –TVs it takes away from the atmosphere distracts the staff(from chef to bar to server) specially if it’s a big soccer game which is probably why some people have complained about service. –lack of wine knowledge for an argentinian café with argentinian wines, these guys should know what they’re selling

My one check-in belies the fact that I am technically a lunchtime regular for Café Argentino. Their meat lunch specials are quite pricey so I stick to their sandwiches. So, so good and served with an ample serving of french fries. My favorite is their serrano ham with fresh mozzerella and pesto. I also very much enjoy their cheese empanada. This is on my Unilocal app bookmarked for dinner.

So we popped into this delicious Argentinian spot during a walk through Brooklyn, somewhere south of the Marcy station. Came in, the Madrid game was on, score. We casually sat down and were greeted with smiling faces(not normal for NYC). Ordered a solid bloody mary — — with steak & eggs($ 12) which were stunningly superb. Colleague of mine snagged the salmon benedict and loved it. Fact that it started snowing while we were there, not cool — but it shielded us a tad.

Good service. They were kind. The mixed salad was fresh. And I tried the entraña: it was cooked perfectly(I asked for medium rare) and the chimichurri that accompanied it was delicious. The prices were decent.

Have been here countless times for dinner and brunch. Always a good experience! Have never had to wait for a table for Sunday brunch. I have tried almost everything on the brunch menu. Everything is amazing and beautifully presented! I would recommend the Florentine omelet, but the steak-and-eggs is also good. For dinner I have had steak, also delicious. It was so full of flavor, tasted just like a typical steak when I lived in Argentina. I have also had salad, very fresh. Would not recommend the empanadas. The dough/shell is soggy which makes it very difficult to eat. Also the meat isn’t seasoned very well. Could be improved. Other than that I am a big fan of everything on the menu. The chimichurri is also a bit too fluid. It is also very cozy inside, bright blue walls and a big open space. Also they have pretty cool background soundtrack, always good music.

Got the churrasco and my date got the salmon. Food was excellent. However, the inside dining room was very warm. Moved our table outside where it was cooler but had to deal with the occasional Harley from hell where you can’t hear yourself think over the episode of sons of anarchy at the red light. Sangria was good. Got the pitcher. Service was very receptive and checked in the right amount of times. Bathroom too small to maneuver in. All in all. Good experience.

I like this place. I’ve had brunch, dinner and drinks there. The sangria I really enjoy. The brunch is fine, nothing crazy just straight up eggs benedict etc., all brunch entrees come with a sangria which works for me. While I sit at the bar I usually have some empanadas with my drink. I like them as well. I also have had the chicken milanese for dinner — really good and a huge portion. I don’t really eat beef so can’t comment on it, but my friend did order the burger and it was huge and looked awesome and he devoured it. People who work there are real nice, and service is good. Just read someone’s review that the service was ‘atrocious’ during their lunch during a World Cup match… no shit… well welcome to Argentina.

Wonderful brunch spot. Fantastic steak and eggs(juicy, well seasoned, perfectly cooked) skirt steak) with awesome home fries, coffee, and sangria(prefer the white over the red) all for $ 12! Can’t beat it. And great atmosphere/friendly service. Looking forward to returning, maybe even for dinner!

For an Argentine expatriate, it is like being in a Buenos Aires parrilla, with a helpful service and a great carte, even if away from usual Latin majority neighborhoods. Mor than worth a detour. Raul, Brooklyn Heighyd

THE bon plan brunch du quartier!
