I always get savory pastries from this place when I visit Brighton Beach, which is generally a few times each summer. The ones that are very thick have a ton of fried dough and not as much filling as I’d like; the proportion is off. But the thinner ones are fantastic. I like the meat and the cheese ones. Great snack option for beach days!

I was charged 25% tip by waiter by default. He was very disappointed and even became rude when I lowered it to regular 15%. Food is mediocre(I would say three out of five). Soups around $ 6, mains $ 9 in general. Smells like in regular Soviet dining hall. Cash only.

I’m the first to review!!! OK so when I go to Coney Island and walk down the boardwalk I end up in Brighton Beach. And this is right on Brighton Beach Ave next to the Metro stop. OK so I’ve never been inside. But outside they sell from these clear plastic bins. The best best best best ever puff pastry with the best fillings. Of the chains!!! My favorite is the spinich and next favorite is the cheese. They are still warm and so freakin tasty!!! Cheep only about a dollar or so for one. And I know they are great because all the locals line up to get them. If you are on a diet forget it. Just get one and trust me it is good. I uploaded a picture of the outside of this place. The cross street is Brighton Beach Ave and Brighton 5th ave. And the signs are all in Russian. Great treat!
