I always come here and the people are awesome and the chimis also. All the food on the menu is pretty great. I love the beef chimi and the chinola juice. I’m here almost every Saturday night and they I never been disappointed.

I’m just gonna go ahead and put this out there: I’m probably, more than likely, almost positively, a drunk. Now, I’m not looking for sympathy by any means. I just want to go ahead and establish that so you’re aware that when I tell you that someone has good drunk food, you know I’m not just repeating something that someone else told me. I’m telling you from experience. In fact, if I’ve recommended a place to you, the odds are overwhelming that I’ve either passed out in their dining area or hit on their cash register. The point of this backstory? Chimi Mundo is fucking amazing. Like, ‘punch Ghandi in the neck to get another bite of food’, amazing. There may be a number of things you can order, but if you hate your body as much as I do, the only thing you should be thinking about is Yaroa(pronounced Ja-row-a, since sometimes a Y should sound like a J. Because fuck it.) It’s a small mountain of mashed sweet plantains, slow roasted chicken, roast pork, cheese, pink sauce, and what was either a dash of ketchup or Jesus. It is greater than the square of the sum of it’s parts. It is to food what the Battle of Thermopylae was to the history of military tactics.

I’ve not done chimis before, but this was a great first time. Savory herby porky beefy patty grilled and placed on a toasted bun with tomato, shredded cabbage and some sort of Russian dressing. Tasty, crisp, soft and nice. The pastelito de queso I’d not do again, and super cheap!
