Cute local coffee shop that I stopped into on the way to a meeting. I am trying to cut back on caffeine so I got the chai latte. The medium was almost $ 5, which is a little rich for my blood. However, I do enjoy supporting local businesses when I can and I wouldn’t say that the chai latte wasn’t worth the money.

A cute café with a full coffee menu and baked goods of happiness. Service and staff were very friendly, lots of seating inside and they have a few outside benches. A good place to hit before or after strolling the park. I ordered a small iced chai and a piece of lemon cake– the small I ordered was HUGE! A nice break from typical chain coffee houses. I will definitely be back!

Excellent family owned, Brooklyn based coffee shop chain. All the spots share the neighborhood vibe that they share, but the Prospect Park location is my most common stop. Love stopping by after riding the bike path around the park. Now that the Spring is here, get to partake in their delicious iced coffees. Their hot coffee is a rich dark roast, which really translates well to their iced version. Baked goods are great too! Such a pleasure to grab a coffee and either snag a seat outside, or walk across the street to the park. Love that this place has been a Brooklyn mainstay, predating all the buzzy, hipster places that came over the past 2 years. SUPPORTLOCAL, FAMILYOWNED!!!

Great for early morning coffee. 6am open time is clutch. Bagels are a bit too doughy.

I go here almost every day on my way to work for a coffee and a pastry. I learned pretty soon that their muffins are dry, almond croissants do not have the classic almond filling, and regular croissants have little flavor or moisture. Those are my only complaints, but I’ll acknowledge that I’m pretty picky about pastries since it’s my carb indulgence for the day. Now that I know what to get from there I have a consistently good experience. The brownies, raisin rolls, and cupcakes are all delicious. Chai latte is a great standby when I don’t feel like coffee. Sandwiches are all excellent, the paninis in particular. Most importantly for me though, the service is fast, reliable, and fun to chat with. Even when they’re busy they don’t let the stress show. Having worked in the service industry that is something I can appreciate.

Love the way they design the places, and love their Paninis. I am here usually Tuesdays after work, and I love to stop the rush for an hour or so, open My laptop and just work enjoying good sandwich and good coffee. I told them twice already that sometime the coffee is not hot enough, and they always make me a new one. I wish they had one closer to where I live, but I am ok with coming here once a week. Nice atmosphere for coffee and light food.

I ordered a couple of bagels and some sweet desserts. Bagel wasn’t fresh and nor was the cream cheese. The pastries seemed ok. Besides unsatisfactory food, the service was far worse. The employees seemed they were annoyed by my requests to omit an item and my queries. All in all, definitely wouldn’t be returning if this establishment feels like the presence of customers isn’t pleasant.

They have really good lemon poppyseed muffins and coffee. They have few tables where you can sit and relax. The place was opened today despite the snow storm.

There are a couple staff people there that keep this place afloat(the friendly guy and a middle eastern girl). The big problem is the music. Disgusting pop music you might expect from a New Jersey mall. Please curate some playlists, for god’s sake.

Dishonest cashier/server person !! My mom paid the guy $ 20 but he insisted it was a $ 10 bill. I can’t believe how a person who expect good business can slander an older women like that. No respect. That will be the last time we ever go there !

The hot chocolate is good. The service is sad. Chewing food behind the counter while taking order. Eyes rolling. No smiles. Overall bad attitude. Not friendly or pleasant. Also, the WiFi was broken? Made no sense. Needs new management. And new employees.

The pastries are bland and dry. The chai tea is overly sweet and a plain tomato and cheese takes upward of 20 minutes and the cheese. But theres lovely outdoor seating and its a good place to just sit and chat. Its a very casual place.

Its a cute neighborhood coffee shop with nice seating areas and fresh-looking baked goods that have been fine when I’ve tried them, scones, croissants, bagels, pieces of cake loaves. If you want a fairly boring bev, they can probably accommodate you. They have a few flavored lattes. I dont live the burnt flavor of the coffee, but a latte is still okay. The four soup options sound decent. However, iced tea lattes seem to be out of the question. And I wish I hadn’t wasted my money on this green tea chai latte, which, as far as I can tell, is flavorless iced green tea with a bunch of chai powder mixed in with some steamed milk and topped off with some non-steamed milk. I could have made myself a better beverage at home for a quarter of the price. They use a powder to make their chai generally. I just need to remember to be careful about what I order here I guess. I suppose I’ve gotten spoiled by coffee bean in California, where they’ll mix and match and make pretty much anything your caffeine-loving mind can dream up. It’s a nice place to sit, with free WiFi, and they won’t kick you out even if you end up having to hang for quite a while.

OK I’m admitting it freely. I’m a coffee addict. I need my daily fix. Sadly the drip coffee culture in NY is not my natural habitat. This shop in particular has served me burned coffee or coffee that has been sitting on the heater twice so far. Never again. BUT their baked goods are delicious.

No wifi on weekends? Why!!! Staff aren’t that friendly. I couldnt hear her because of the background noise and music and she seemed annoyed by that. Go somewhere else!

Now I remember why I haven’t been here in years! It sucks! They are so slow and disorganized and the product is inferior to Terrace Bagels up the block. I was too lazy to walk up there the other day so stopped in here. I wanted to order coffee and a bagel but the lady walked away to get my coffee before I could tell her my bagel order, and then acted all put out when she came back and I gave her my bagel order. The line is always slow and disorganized and I don’t know where they get their bagels, but they are just so-so. I know the reason there is always a crowd is because it takes them forever to serve one person, I just don’t understand why anyone would go there. I remember when it first opened, I actually liked it a lot but it’s kind of jumped the shark.

A good place to kill time before you head to your movie at the Pavilion. It feels like a different world than the Connecticut Muffin on 7th Ave(which is yuppieland with crazy strollers). This location is filled with people seemingly without food or drink, hanging out for eternities on their laptops. There’s a good number of tables, but they’re very scrunched together and always all occupied. Kids will come by and loiter on the stairs to the seating section and the staff will not say anything. If I were in junior high again I’d have more sympathy, but you’re being fire hazards, kids! Go away! Teas and pastries are standard(yes, even my muffin). Free wifi — ask the staff for the password. The cleanliness of the place is kind of ehh — things behind the counter look haphazard. There was a baguette just sitting openly near where they kept pens… Do they even serve anything using baguettes?! To use the somewhat grungy bathroom you have to find the key attached to a giant metal spoon lying on the counter somewhere… and bring the giant metal spoon into the bathroom with you. Bathroom doesn’t lock from inside, but you have the only key to it. Bringing a giant spoon into a bathroom… *makes face*
