This block of Hoyt Street is a completely different universe from the gentrified Smith Street, which is just one block over. In fact, the changes are pretty astounding. And I live right in the middle. Needless to say, this was quite possibly the worst fried chicken I’ve ever had. There was literally no flavor to the skin. I mean, what the heck is the point of fried chicken if the skin sucks? Seriously. You’re getting fat for no reason! Oh, and it took over 15 minutes for the chicken to come. Fast food? Hardly.
