This is a pretty good discount store with a lot basic things you need for the house. I just shopped here this afternoon and got a shower liner, tension rods, curtains, and a bath mat for a very inexpensive price.(I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on curtains specifically since the place I’m living in is temporary). This store is also great for other household items such as, soap, sponges, other cleaning products, paper towels, etc. I’ve also shopped in here for Christmas decorations. Most of their household items are on the lower level. The lines aren’t too bad either, I’ve never really waited that long to pay. D II is open long hours, seven days a week. Great selection of everything and very convenient location.

I’m a soapaholic… I love soap. This place sells bars of soap(Dove, Yardley and certain other brands) for a buck. This place is sort of like a 99cent store but prices are not that cheap. There are two levels. They sell various items like clothing, shoes, snacks, toiletries, toys, items for your home/bathroom. I haven’t bought anything else from this place other than the soap. lol If only they sold the Nubian Heritage brand soap here…

This was my first time stopping in at the D and D, and I’m very satisfied with my experience. I was originally looking for a shower rod, curtain, liner, and hooks for our bathroom, but the stores closer to us were a little pricey, or didn’t have everything I wanted. My fiancé suggested I try the D and D because he heard their prices are cheap. His gym is located on the uppermost floor of the building, and he told me that it always looks busy down there. There was a large selection of household goods on the lower level. And although many of the shower curtains didn’t match our décor, I was able to find a plain one that does the job. The 4 items I bought cost me $ 15, which saved me about $ 7 – 8 compared to the other stores I checked! Although some of their products might be older models or generic brands, I don’t mind sifting through the aisles to sort out the good from the bad. Overall, i was very satisfied and will definitely be back as I haven’t found such good prices elsewhere.

This store has cheap prices on everyday essentials. I recommend it mainly for T-shirts, stationary items, and home goods. I will be back!

I’m not a fan of discount stores, they creep me out* for the simple fact that their products are somehow cheaper than everywhere else and i’m supposed to believe they are the same quality. I don’t fall for it, but my wife does. She forces me to shop here so i’ve learned to accept it. Discounts everywhere you look, so you better believe there’s a markdown that’s too good to be true. Seasonal items are a good bet here and if you are looking for the simple things in life like a $ 2 generic«go team» or «baseball star» t-shirt then you have hit the jackpot with DII. Not much else to say about it, there’s a Dolphin gym upstairs, so don’t jump if you hear a juicehead drop a dumbell while you are shopping for discount hand sanitizer. By the way, theres a Century 21 right up the block, that’s pretty cool… *this is kind of a contradiction, because i do love thrift stores, but not discount spots.

Could’a sworn I reviewed this store before, but it doesn’t seem to be appearing on Unilocal at all… so I’m adding it in! 2 floors of discounts, right by the 86th St. R train. Large stock, lots of seasonal items(holiday décor, etc). Posted hours are: General Hours: 9:30 am — 7:00 pm, Sunday Hours: 10:00 am — 6:00 pm, but they’re always in a rush to get out of there, so show up ATLEAST15 minutes before the posted closing time if you want them to let you in the door!
