I was able to get an appointment for a week later. Nice facility. However, patients are treated like on an assembly line; no respect for privacy. While waiting to be seen Dr. Edelstein entered 2 exam rooms with waiting patients. He didn’t bother closing the doors so I heard every discussion he had with the patients. Additionally, he spent very little time with each. When my turn came he never bothered to read the history sheet I filled out. I was treated like an appendage, not a person. Even though he believed my problem was muscular I was sent for an x-ray — why??? He didn’t listen to what I said about when problem set in or previous treatments. Maybe he spent a total of 5 minutes with me. This is not the way to practice good medicine.

Waited about a half an hour. I did feel very rushed when I actually got to see the doctor. Seemed like he cared about pushing patients out the door rather than listen to them. He is friendly as well as some of their staff. Office was new and clean. Forget trying to reach him on the phone. Overall he is a skilled doctor but does not take the time to really listen to your issue.

The office was brand new, well organized and extremely clean. The staff was efficient and most of them were friendly. I brought my 21 month old son for 2 visits when he fell and fractured his forearm. Both visits went very smoothly. From sign in until seeing the doctor was approximately 25 – 30 minutes in both cases. X-Rays were ultra fast and done a few rooms away from the examination rooms which was super convenient. Dr. Edelstein is the real deal. He gave me the time of day, answered my questions and instilled confidence. Unfortunately, his recommendation was to perform a procedure that he said required going to the Maimonides ER and would be done by a resident, not himself. Me and my family have history with Maimonides and i would rather bleed to death on their sidewalk than be brought in there. As such, we opted to go to a pediatric specialist at NYU Joint Hospital for a second opinion(they do their procedures on site). I have left off one star due to the affiliation with Maimonides Hospital, which has no direct bearing on Dr. Edelstein as a doctor, but does have a bearing on patient care if you get sent to Maimonides. Even after we opted to go to NYU, Dr. Edelstein still called(on a Saturday night no less) to follow up and make sure things were ok. I would recommend, Dr. Edelstein and i would go back to him if i ever needed it.
