Yum yum yum. We shared the Korean fried chicken, and I had the mushroom Bibimbap in the hot stone bowl. The fried chicken was deliciously seasoned and fried perfectly but nothing out of the ordinary. The Bibimbap may be my new favorite Bibimbap. The hot stone was very very hot a crisped the rice up nicely. The mushrooms started raw and also cooked up in the bowl. The only drawback is that I remember other bibimbaps having a larger variety of vegetables. I mainly remember spinach in this one. A little pricey at $ 16 but good quality.

I enjoyed this place. The wait time to be seated wasn’t too long. The Saki was top notch, and the waitress was extremely helpful when demonstrating how to use the equipment for the grill that is apart of the table that we were seated at. It’s a very laid back atmosphere and a low and subtle lighting, which i enjoy. There are also some nice bars around the restaurant, in case one wants to hang out more after eating.

One of the few Korean restaurants in the Williamsburg area — and it’s okay. The banchan(side dishes) were good(with the exception of the kimchi, that wasn’t good), but the service here not so much. We asked to get out banchan refilled three times and they kept telling us we had to wait until everyone in the restaurant got their food first. Huh. I ordered the soondubu, and there was barely anything in it. It was watery and average on taste — I definitely could have made something better. The prices were on the more expensive side as well. My friends ordered the bibimbpap, and they had to pay an extra $ 2 to get it in the stone pot on top of the $ 14 for beef and $ 15 for seafood. Shouldn’t it already come in the stone pot to begin with. I also came here a while back and had shabu shabu — the sauces were watery and it just wasn’t impressive. Overall you could get better Korean food in Ktown for cheaper, along with better service.

Favorite restaurant in Williamsburg! I own the Chiropractic office across the street so it’s a convenient choice BUT it is also consistently fantastic, to go AND to stay. Mushroom bibimbop, ask for the dokebi rice with it, and do not forget to get a scallion kimchee pancake as an appetizer. DOIT!

#Pretty cool place. I’ve been here once for dinner and once for the bar in the back, where I got the Taco Tuesday deal. I got #pretty drunk and talked to many people about anti-aging and the #Singularity.

Legit Korean food. Overpriced but got my Korean fix. Good amount of banchan. Okay ambiance. Decently clean feeling.

I can not tell you how many times I have walked by this place. Although this visit was very much rushed, since we were catching a movie, it was great. The wings were delicious! I wasn’t ready for the spice but since I’m a tough guy I felt it my duty to percevier through the assault on my lips. One day soon I want to try the hibachi but definitely a place I will go again.

Great décor & roomy establishment. I just don’t like the take of fusion cuisine plus the taste of how they make my food(practically ordered out their whole menu). Call me picky or Korean food elitist but the food itself is just ok. Even the taco tortilla’s were a bit stale or not warmed up properly… I guess I’m just not a fan. I would typically order from this place when I was desperate for Korean food and worked a block away. I would recommend Brooklyn Seoul over Dokebi for more authentic tasting Korean food with a slightly better price range as well.

ATMOSPHERE: Really laid back, mood lighting, and calming upon entering. Lots of little tables, some with the grill in the center, and some without. We chose to do the cook your own option. FOOD: We had the chicken for 2. Came with more than enough chicken, plus about 8 different small sides. Also came with lettuce wraps, and some crudite for snacking and dipping. I loved the hot sauce for the chicken. Just the right amount of kick. DRINKS: I had the sake martini and guest had the sake margarita. We both enjoyed them. Unique spin on the standard martini/marg with the sake base. OVERALL: A bit pricey, but you can expect that at Korean BBQ(which always kind of confuses me because I pay to cook my own food…) but I know it’s more about the experience, and service was on point. Would come again.

It’s definitely not in a very Korean part of town, so I wasn’t expecting Dokebi to be the most authentic Korean fare I’ve ever tried. But I have to say I’ve been pretty impressed all of the times I’ve been there and now it’s one of my go-to’s in the area. I haven’t tried any of their Asian fusion tacos or burritos… I preferred to stick with the classics like bibimbop or ddukguuk(on New Years morning, as is Korean tradition). They’re generous with the banchan and the dishes aren’t huge, but perfectly filling and well made. Again, the soup didn’t beat ones I’ve had in K-Towns or at my grandma’s house, but it did the job. I wasn’t as happy with the brunch — I was so excited to see that they had a kimchi fried rice omelette as omu-rice is one of my favorite comfort foods, but I found it to be pretty unflavorful unfortunately. It’s probably smartest to stick with their normal menu. I think we’ve had the same server almost every time we’ve been there and she’s always really sweet and efficient. I’ve only ever seen a long wait one time in the many times I’ve stopped by, so for those reasons I’m a proud regular!

My fiancé and I went here on a «quick» lunch date. I say«quick» because he and I unknowingly sat and took long to order only to realize we had 20 minutes to eat before heading out to see Star Wars VII. Fortunately, our waitress was very kind and efficient. We ordered a bottle of soju and spicy Korean fried chicken. The chicken had the right amount of spice and tenderness. We will definitely come back to try other things on the menu.

This place is basically for korean bbq. It’s not the best place to have korean food due to the fact it doesn’t taste that great. The price was a little pricy too but if you are looking for authentic good tasting korean bbq food this is not the place.

Bitch was working here as manager or something, it was so bad. I won’t have dinner here. It was for my friend’s birthday dinner — we booked table the day before & it wasn’t booked. She was so rude, she said«I don’t know, you guys just have to wait». I baked cake and asked if they can keep it till after our dinner, she was like«we can’t do that, we have no space and we don’t want people to stay too long». We just walked out.

FINALLY. A Korean restaurant in Brooklyn with authentic Korean cuisine! A restaurant I can take my Korean mom to and actually impress her. So let’s face it. Brooklyn is lacking on the Korean department. There are a handful of so-called«fusion» Korean-inspired pubs that serve soju and Korean fried chicken; however, it is rather difficult to find a place that has food that can compare to K-town in Manhattan or Flushing, or even northern New Jersey. Dokebi does a great job in meeting my Korean food needs. The food isn’t overly«americanized» and actually fits the traditional standards, such as the banchan(complimentary Korean side dishes) being served fresh and the refilled for free as well, plus the stews are not overly salty and full of MSG; in fact, their stews are almost as good as the restaurants in K-town. Service is on point and YESTHEYDELIVER!

2.5 Dokebi is a little Korean spot in Williamsburg. It’s a mix of traditional and fusion. We started off with the Seafood Pajeon(pancake). It wasn’t crispy enough, so it took away from the taste. It was also rather small for a traditional sized Korean pancake. The side dishes(ban chan) are extra when not ordering BBQ or certain entrees. Next came the Spicy Pork burrito. It wasn’t that great. The fillings were yummy, but in a tortilla was a strange experience. The bibimbap however was amazing! Tasted just like the traditional Korean style. It’s probably one of the only Korean spots in Williamsburg, so I get it. But I wouldn’t go back for the food.

For as long as I’ve been coming here I can’t believe I haven’t dropped a review! Hands down the best Korean place in brooklyn! Definitely our go to for korean tacos! Short rib, pork belly, fish, mushroom, chicken, and tofu. Get the pickled onions, jalepenos, and Kirby cucumbers to go with. Cucumber Kirby gazpacho is unique like a mild spicy pickle juice. Korean BBQ is tasty but I remember the portions being small. They give lots of lettuce and rice for wraps(ssam). Shabu shabu is also yummy! I had the bibim naeng myun today and it was tasty but just a tad too spicy for me to finish. Definitely refreshing on a hot summer day.

First time here on a Saturday night. 3 friends and I got in a bit on the later side, around 8:30 or so, and we were able to sit pretty quickly. The dumplings(Gyoza) are AMAZING! I wish there were more than 6, next time I would get 2 orders just for myself. We all followed up with tacos or burritos since we were about to eat our hands we were so hungry. I ended up getting a short rib burrito and a pork belly taco. Both good, but the pork belly was the clear winner, I wish I had gotten the pork belly burrito. The burrito was decent size, but I was still hungry after. Price point was great, and the service was strong. We really didn’t have to wait that long and our waiter was pretty quick with all requests. I will definitely make a return again, especially to check out the BBQ tables.

Beef Bibimbap was perfection. Order it. Service was 5 star. Drinks are just a tad pricey, but the service and food make it worth it.
