BOOOOOOOOOO!!! terrible service, they take forever, for some reason they always seem to be lacking employees, once i was there and there was one guy at the register and he was also serving up coffee and food the best he could by himself. after waiting 20 minutes in line the manager came out, walked down to the other end of the counter, looked out the window and went right back into the mysterious dnd back room. didnt even bother to help the one staff member working. i only give an extra star for that one dude working that day and the fact that this restaurant is always very clean, well except for that old homless polish lady that has the train of tied suitcases tied behind her that pretty much lives in the front window.

I love them, friendly, happy faces, that what you need in the morning. Long line but the workers take care fast, not a problem, I been a customers for 12 years, and many more to come. Happy customers!

i was taking pictures around the town and needed to use the restroom i ran in and asked the cashier if i could use there bathroom the man responded in a tone i have never dealt with before and a body language that mimicked a SS officer with«its broken» i then said«is it broken if i buy something?» he responds with«nope». so i buy a 1 dollar donut and lighty toss it over the counter and snatch the key, piss on the seat and bail out. i have never had someone in the service industry treat me with such utter disrespect. bail the bald dude, he sux

Usually pretty good service, even when the line is long and the employees are in a rush. The one time they forgot a part of my order, they apologized and dropped everything to get it done quick, and threw in a few munchkins. Hush money, if you ask me, but delicious hush money. My main complaint with this DD location is that when I order an iced coffee with milk and sugar, the give me what essentially looks and tastes like a cup of milk with a hint of coffee flavor in the background. It seems odd, considering I am pretty sure the cost of the milk is higher than the cost of the coffee, so it’s not even them trying to be business savvy. It is pretty annoying, but they are usually pretty nice about it when I ask them to make it more coffee, less milk. It is just a hassle to have to tell them every single time.

Number one, this is a franchise, so yeah their donuts will taste like all the other dunkin donuts… woo what a surprise! However this dunkin donuts has a great location, and is so close to st*rb*cks that I can bring my bagel, donut, croissant etc… down the block and have a waaaay better coffee. Customer service rocks! I even recently took them up on their free order policy«receive your order free if you don’t receive an accurate receipt». The manager was clearly not happy with the clerk, but honored the policy, gave me my cash and a smile:). Now top that! Recently even purchased my Keurig brewer there as the sale price was $ 99.99 was 20 $ less than Macy’s sale price, pretty good deal for a franchise. Even the clerk was surprised, stating«you know it’s $ 139 dollars…» and to my reply«um…no its $ 99.99…See look at your sign». Was quite surprised… so with gift cards I had, this was one affordable coffee maker. I would rate this store better if they ever got my order correct… but I guess I’m willing to sacrifice accuracy for a smile:)

I love how many negative ratings fast food chains get on this site. Writing a scathing review of your boston crème donut and coffee coolata on Unilocal is on par with complaining about traffic or lines at the DMV. Yeah, it sucks but no one wants to hear you complain. If you’re going here for fine cuisine, you’re an idiot. If you’re here to beef up your chops as a scathingly witty blogger, you’re also an idiot. I come to this Dunkin Donuts nearly every day on my way to work. So far my coffee has always come out exactly the way I ordered with excellent customer service to boot. This is actually a pretty rare occurrence. Most fast-food chains pay absolute shit which in New York translates to $ 7.25/hour. If I had to work nearly 40 hours a week(remember, not exactly 40 hours because that means benefits/overtime!) for at or around that pay, I would be the most miserable, angry piece of shit on earth and fucking up orders left and right because I stopped caring entirely. The ladies on the morning shift here are always super friendly and pleasant whenever I come in and how they’re able to stay that way while dealing with the absolute scum of the universe is beyond me. It’s pretty depressing looking into their tip jar and seeing so many pennies and nickels. They do essentially the same work as your bohemian, art school coffee shop for essentially less money and more abuse. Just because you don’t like corporations or fast-food or like sticking-it-to-the-man or whatever doesn’t absolve you of tipping. Also, this Dunkin Donuts has one of the few public restrooms in this area of Greenpoint. You’d expect it to look like a living nightmare with an inch of sewage water on the floor and shitstains everywhere but it’s actually very nicely maintained. Even at the end of the day, the restroom here is nearly spotless. If I’m ever having an emergency and am desperate to take a shit, this is my first place to go.

I’ve got mixed emotions about Dunkin Donuts. For one, I loved the Dunkin Donuts franchises overseas in Korea…4 story cafes in the middle of Seoul where you spend countless hours sipping on 1 cup of coffee and nibbling on 1 donut. Harsh reality sets in as I realize that I’m at another franchise restaurant in the heart of Greenpoint that completely detracts from the uniqueness and originality of this Polish neighborhood. I’m sure this place appeals to many individuals as it did initially to me, however, can’t help but think that my money should go somewhere else.

The ladies behind the counter are friendly to the point of worry. They’re constantly giving me extra donuts, even if I’ve stressed I just want the one. And more than once, I’ve gone in with my daughter and ordered no donut at all, but walked out with a few nonetheless. It’s maddening, especially when I’m looking at a drawer full of fashionably trim jeans. The donuts are donuts, but with Peter Pan within stumbling distance, that doesn’t mean all that much. Worse yet, the coffee tastes as though it was made using refried beans. But on mornings where I’ve neglected to set myself up for an iced coffee, it’s still comforting to have Dunkin’ Donuts right around the corner. I’ve never understood the fascination with Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, and this location’s may be less impressive than others in the chain. But the staff’s generosity is at least enough to earn an extra star.

This is a much older location that Greenpoint’s other Dunkin’ Donuts down the street. When I used to use the Greenpoint Ave stop every morning I would almost always stop and get a coffee there on my way to work. Thus I have at least 150 transactions at this location! It’s a rather cramped location, with some narrow seating up against the wall where the line forms. It apparently used to be much more spacious, with a Nathan’s and a wider seating section in the back, but this area has been closed ever since I first started frequenting this place in 2007. Strangely the Nathan’s signage is still up outside(this first lured me in here on a summer afternoon when I wanted a hot dog). The customer service experience is decent. The staff handles the morning line pretty well. My coffee order was slightly messed up about once every two weeks on average(so 1 in ten visits), and they tended to be a little heavy on my «a little bit of cream» request. At the end of the day, it’s a Dunkin’ Donuts and will get the job done!

In hopes of reducing my girlfriend’s carbon footprint, she recently bought one of those re-useable plastic thermoses from D&D which also helps in minimizing her Styrofoam cup usage. If you ask me, it sounded like a great way to accomplish this feat. No pun, intended. Unfortunately, on occasion her simple solution has met with some obstacles. Would it be so much to ask for the higher-ups at D&D to train their staff on what is proper procedure when encountering a re-useable cup? When dealing with this request, I have been charged a second time for the cup because the counter clerk thought that I had swiped it from the shelf behind me. I have also, in the past, had coffee made into a D&D cup and then dumped into the re-useable cup eliminating the whole point of bringing in a re-useable apparatus. But this D&D tops them all. The clerk made the combination of cream and sugar inside a D&D cup and proceeded to give me the cup. I quickly replied, «I purchased this re-useable cup from you guys, in hopes of saving the planet and you have gone and foiled my plan.» Oh well, what can you expect from a section of Brooklyn whose patrons live there lives as if «Spies Like Us» was still showing at the theater down the block. Oh wait, that a St***cks now. I usually go to the D&D closer to my pad, but this particular coffee run took place on Christmas. I have learned from past holiday seasons, that this is the only one that seems to be open. On the many other occasions that I’ve been here, the muffins were almost inedible and I’ve noticed that they finally made a decision and have given up on utilizing the rest of the café space which now stands covered up by cold beverage refrigerators. The one positive with reference to this location is that the large coffee will only cost you $ 1.69+tax. Not bad. And they usually slip in an extra donut for reasons unknown to me.
