Rigid and greedy. It’s hot out so I wanted an iced chai instead of a hot one. They refused to just throw ice in it or to give me a cup of ice to do it myself. They told me the only way I could have ice is if I paid extra for it. How rigid and greedy can you be?

This is a mini Dunkin Donuts on busy Court Street in Brooklyn Heights/Downtown Brooklyn. It’s standing room only and is more like a Dunkin Donuts Express. I had stopped coming a year or two ago because of a grumpy staff that would make the experience pretty unpleasant every time. However, have begun coming again because they seemed to have brought in a brand new staff who are in my experience, friendly, efficient, patient and kind. The busy morning rush here of Dunkin Donuts lovers usually leaves a line out the door, and lately the line has been moving much faster. My orders have been very accurate and I get them fast, so I’m happy. Recently I have been ordering a melted turkey and cheese breakfast and the freshness of the Turkey has me really impressed. I like coming here now thanks to the staff and the freshness of the food.

Roaches!!! Ewww!!! If I could give this place a negative review I would– I frequent many of the Brooklyn Dunkin Donuts locations– I have to get boxes of Joe daily for the guys I work with. Today I went here… And as I was ordering the girl behind the counter gasped, went Ewwwww and stomped on the ground. Okay, I get it, we are in Brooklyn, a bug or two happens, and at least she was grossed out. Then I look at the muffins, there is one crawling on the side, and yep, ONTO a muffin. The girl turns around to get donuts, and doesn’t do anything about it. As I’m waiting(forever by the way, they were not quick) for my box of joe, I see one other girl behind the counter smash 2 separate bugs on the counter. Then, I see three more on the walls! I mean, if you are having a problem with an infestation like that, you need to close up shop for a bit. Ew, ew ew ew ew. If they don’t close for that, what would they close for? And what else are they doing there???

CAUTION — If you have a food allergy, etc the irresponsible employees will lie to you about what they are giving you, and you will probably get sick. I usually get coffee from good coffee spots with real coffee. today I took a risk and stopped in for an ice coffee, because I was busy and didn’t have time to get out cash to go else where. I drink decaf because I have a severe sensitivity to caffeine, and decaf actually does have a small caffeine content which is just right for me. I ordered a decaf ice coffee, and clarified nearly 3 times with the employee that my coffee was decaf, she said it was. ITWASNOT, ANDNOW I AMHAVINGCHESTPAINSANDTHESHAKES. The store manager really needs to take responsibility for this stuff, you are putting peoples health and lives in danger when your staff is this lazy and irresponsible. The store manager really needs to be fired, because something like this is actually very serious. Also, your store is filthy.

Seems fine– nice employees, fast line. No old-fashioned donuts? Again, the CA boy visiting scratches his head and wonders what the fuck is wrong with the world. And they looked at me like I was insane when I only ordered donuts. Apparently NYC thinks this is a place for coffee. Well, with so many shitty Starbucks everywhere(get Coffee Bean over here, you’ll thank me when they arrive en masse, if they ever do…), perhaps so.

Tiny, cramped and during rush times, considerably slowed down but it’s probably the only coffee/donut joint in the area which is why it’s so popular in the mornings. The ladies behind the counter are very work-focused and although they’re overwhelmed, with a little kindness, they’re actually quite nice. But, with that being said, I don’t like waiting in a small corner for my stuff but once in awhile, I tolerate it.

If I could give this place a negative star, I would. Now, don’t get me wrong, I like Dunkin Donuts coffee. And I was real excited to see that this place was kitty corner to my apartment when I moved in. But this place sucks. Big time. And it’s gotten worse. Way worse. Please, if you live in the neighborhood, you know what I’m talking about. From the weak, watered down coffee to the rolling eyes when you’re placing a simple order. Let’s boycott this place and get it out of here. We deserve better.
