Music is great! Stopped in yesterday for brunch drinks with my lady but ended up coming back with friends same day. Normally a pretty empty & quiet place every time I’ve went, hopefully I can see the place in a livelier state soon

The music in this place is always good but the DJ on Sunday is inspiring. I’ll be back there all night next time. Great food too!

Update to the owner’s comments: The bartender did give us two shots after I suggested it based on the delayed wing service and he also said that it was coming out of this pay. Your response is evident that your establishment is lacking in customer service skills. As an owner you should’ve apologized and did something to make it a pleasant memory instead of chastising me on Unilocal when it was your staff’s error. Furthermore, it is not my duty to inform you and/or your staff on how to select good brands of cheese. I’m on Unilocal to share my opinions of services and I felt that I was very fair. We were the only two customers at the time, how could the service be screwy?

Found this spot on Unilocal, needed some place Different to go and have a drink or two, and some good food as well. The ambiance, omg! I loved it. The music was right, the lifting was right. .and it wasn’t paled, although on a Saturday-which is fine with me. The staff was very attentive, and made sure we were serviced as soon as we sat down. My friend and I had the wings, Chipotle and Mango. Very tasty, and I fell in love with Eve’s Coconut Mojito. .yummmmnm Definitely coming back!

Stumbled upon this Hidden Gem after a longgggggg day and all I can say is YES!!! Calvin and his customer service and people skills were on point. Debra was so attentive and pleasant ! Only to find out she was the co-owner was an added bonus as you don’t find many owners being so hands on. We ordered Mango Jerk Wings, Parmesan Fries, Arugula and Beet Salad, and Chicken and Waffles. The food was brought out promptly and was on point. All I can say is I can’t wait to come back… and the drinks… Well like I said I can’t wait to come back !

Eve’s Lounge, lol. I have to start this review with a chuckle. We came here to celebrate a birthday. Reservations were made and they had our space ready, great! We ordered a pitcher of mimosa($ 35) we got many glasses out it. The entire group arrives. The waitress comes over and asks if we are ready to order but there is only one menu at the table. I ask the waitress if we can have menus and she completely ignores me and asks my bf what he said instead so he repeated what I said. I’m thinking that was weird. She goes away for a few minutes and brings menus for everyone. A few minutes later we order. We are now waiting for our food. Our pitcher is now done. The waitress reaches over and picks up the pitcher and leaves. Doesn’t ask we would like another one or if anyone will like another drink. A few minutes later she comes out with the first order of chicken and waffles and says the orders are prepared individually so be patient. Say what now! Prepared individually, like you make one plate at a time. I don’t even cook like that at home. How can a restaurant be sustained cooking like that. I must mention 3 people ordered chicken and waffles, those could have been made at the same time. So over the course of about 45 minutes dishes are coming out individually for our party of 6. Some people are done eating while others haven’t even gotten their food as yet. And still doesn’t come back to ask to if we will like more drinks or water. At one point they come and pick up all the glasses from the tables while we are still eating. We even tried ordering drinks a few times it was unsuccessful. Needless to say, don’t think I’ll be back. The food was good and everyone seemed to have enjoyed their meal but I kind of like to eat at the same time as the people I come with. Crazy talk, I know. Service needs to go up a few notches. We could have consumed a lot more drinks during that time.

****brunch review**** ++ — Pretty much empty around 1pm on a Sunday — Large and multiple tvs, you can watch the game from any angle — Coconut boneless fried chicken was seasoned perfectly — Can’t describe taste of waffle, but it was beyond your normal waffle + — Burger was well received, although i didn’t try it — Fries were well salted and prepared — Parmesan sauce on shrimp n grits was lovely. The grits are plain, but the sauce enhanced it +/- — Rather than refill your water, they take your glass and bring you a whole new one — You have to ask for water - — This place is obviously a bar first, capitalizing on the brunch phenomenon — Only one waitress and one for a packed house leads to loooooong wait times — Food comes out one at a time, the first person was done eating in our party of 6, before the last person got his food — Bottle shelf liquor cocktails, make sure you request your liquor

I am so glad that my girlfriend’s and I came across Eve’s Lounge. The drink prices are competitive and the drink was delicious, I order an Apple Martini. The atmosphere was relaxing and the music was great. Additional, Johnathan our server/bartender was AMAZING! We will be back next month!!!

Love this place the ceff cooks from his heart and from scratch each time. I have had the chicken and waffles which is amazing. Came here for happy it’s $ 6 and less for everything. It’s a small neat place but worth the trip or visit. Check it out! I have seen 3 bartenders and they are all great

Not sure when this place opened, but I’m mad it wasn’t sooner(since I used to live literally 1 block away!). Cute and quaint, Eves is a lounge tucked into a small space on Washington and St. John’s. The $ 6 Martini’s and $ 3 shots for happy hour were a hit! The guava martini tasted like juice but that’s the kind of liquor that sneaks up on you. I also got the pineapple 40oz bowl. I’m still trying to figure out how I got home. The wings were decent. Needed a little more sauce. The bartender, Johnathan was attentive and did a great job at telling us which appetizers and drinks to get.(& he was nice eye candy. Yums. Lol). I came at about 5 when they first opened. There was a good stream of folks, but it looks like it gets more crowded later in the evening. I’d definitely return.

Stopped by one Thursday evening with a friend. Place was dimly lit, but seemed like it had nice decorum. Wasn’t too much of a crowd, most of the people were at the bar. I ordered the jerk shrimp tacos and my friend had the salmon. Both dishes were very good and so we’re the drinks. I had an apple martini, I forgot the name of the other drink, but it was basically a strawberry piña colada. Our waitress and the bartender were pretty nice, no problem with service at all. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and want to go back for brunch.

I know this is an awkward opening line but the place was CLEAN! I loved the cleanliness. If that’s important to you then this is your spot. In the area for dinner, wasn’t quite ready ty o call it a night so. Unilocal led me here. I really like this place. It’s very small but don’t let that deter you. The drinks are adequately priced and very tasty. Great music playing in the background. Menu prices are reasonable. I came on a slow Monday night. I’ve already made a date to come back and check out the Vibe on a night they have entertainment.

Food was excellent. Staff was great. The owner is not afraid to get her hands dirty. She does all jobs there. I went on a Wednesday night(jazz night) Wonderful. Go early to get seats, the place small but very cozy I am going back very soon.

I really liked this place. Really cute intimate place. Great food. The Jerk Shrimp tacos were amazing and the mango wings were nice too. Calvin provided us ladies with excellent service and nice drinks too. The prices were great! $ 3 appetizers made us happy. And everyone was great, as people came in the greeted us like friends, the chef even answered our questions about a particular menu item. Ask for Calvin. He’ll hook you up.

Great chill spot. Always playing great tunes. Bartenders are friendly. The owners are there regularly and very sweet Kim and Deborah. Love the ambiance. Pretty dimly lit. Exposed brick warm colors. 3 Flat screens great to watch the games. Small to be considered a lounge but has the right vibe. Happy Hour is everyday 5 – 8. $ 5 well & wines $ 3 shots & pbr’s $ 6 martinis. They also have food specials. I live off the salmon burger and mozzarella sticks(honestly eat this 2 – 3 times a week comes out to about $ 20). Salmon is always juicy and a great portion, the veggies on it is always fresh and the chipotle mayo adds a nice touch. Mozzarella sticks are crisp on the outside and warm gooey cheese on the inside. The outside crust is seasoned nicely. The wings are okay. I’ve had all the flavors sweet chili, mango jerk, buffalo and reg crispy. I like the sweet chili and reg crispy with bleu cheese the best. But 6 pieces for $ 9 isn’t worth it to me. The BAB burger is also delicious. Bacon Arugula Bleu cheese. In addition to those ingredients it comes with red onions and garlic aioli. It’s really well balanced in terms of flavor. Everything works really well together. The loaded fries are yummy but a pretty small portion for 8.50. It comes with a LITTLE bit of bacon, cheddar and ranch dressing. Needs more condiments and fries. Wouldn’t order again. Especially since asking for more condiments comes with a surcharge. The jerk shrimp tacos should be called lettuce wraps. I was honestly so unhappy. The flavor/seasoning on the jerk shrimp was perfect. I mean I really loved the shrimp they should consider serving it as a side or a different version of an entrée. You get 2 tacos with 3 medium sized shrimp in each for $ 12. When I say it contained a ton of lettuce, I mean it was 95% lettuce. It also contained pineapple salsa and ranch but besides when you bit into 1 of the 3 shrimps the only thing you taste is lettuce. My suggestion is less lettuce, more shrimp, more pineapple salsa and more ranch. Maybe even smaller tacos shells so you can serve 3 instead of 2. Wouldn’t order this again either. The chicken sandwich is my least favorite thing. It’s the same chicken strips you can get as a side served on a bun with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and chipotle mayo. I was honestly shocked at how bland it was. Considering everything else I’ve ate here has tons of flavor. You can get the chicken prepared crispy or grilled. I got the crispy version. Very underwhelming wouldn’t order again. Overall I love this place. I come here regularly. It’s not my number 1 choice spot for cocktails. It can be very pricey. But I Iove the atmosphere, I love supporting black owned businesses(especially with female owners) and that salmon burger is unmatched thus far. I can’t wait to try the waffle cream dessert, I hear it’s delicious.

It’s my first time coming to eves lounge & it was amazing. I enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, the hospitality & the fact it’s around the corner from my house. It’s my first time here and I’m coming back later on tonight for some ‘Eve’s waffle Cream ice cream’. Btw Calvin, the bartender was so nice & full of life, had me feeling pretty niceeeee after my drink

Based on the reviews I expected better! We went in expecting a DJ but to our surprise there was none. We opted to sit hoping that it would have had one at some time before leaving(midnight). Didn’t happen! We ordered fish and chips and the Eve’s sirloin burger… The food engraved a good impression on our noodles, however the waiters were all over the place; they were not attentive at all. Although not crowded, it took time to take our order. One waiter took our already used(by us) cutlery after ordering a second fish and chips, but forgot to replace them although he stated that he will. Will I give them another chance? Yes, the food will bait me right back in.
