I love jerk chicken, that’s my cluckin’ problem
A generous 3 for a VERY pricey tray of not a terribly large portion of cheap food with no smiles from the staff. Chicken, rice, AND plantains were dry and painful for $ 13.07.

Had Excell’s at the Brooklyn Bridge Park Smorgasborg (Sunday). The line was reasonably short, and the ribs looked amazing. They had several options — jerk chicken, pulled pork, and ribs ($ 2 for 1 or $ 5 for 3).
I went with the jerk chicken and one rib. The jerk chicken plate was HUGE for $ 9. Tons of meaty and tasty pieces of chicken, with slaw, and some sort of fried dough croquettes/​fritters. The ribs were also really good. Tender and fall off the bone.
They also have three different types of hot sauce. One is BBQ, and two are sweeter (of different spiciness levels). I liked the BBQ and the sweet pepper sauce.
Service was quick, and I would definitely recommend giving them a shot if you’re looking for Jamaican food on the quick.
