Eyes on Flatbush

Total disappointment. I had terrible vision, it’s true. Extremely far-​sighted. I need a high-​index lens, a specialty, though not uncommon, lens that can achieve my prescription without resulting in a comic, Coke bottle look. I «only» wanted reading glasses, not bifocals. From their small selection, I managed to find a frame very like the one I wear daily and left a deposit on the frame and the next-​to-​best high index lens. The salesperson checked with their lab and assured me they could make the lenses. Long story short, they could not, despite TWO TRIES over the course of TWO MONTHS. I can see through the glasses they made if I hold a paper 6 inches from my face and straight on, but I couldn’t read a book on my lap, for instance, which was all I wanted. I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. Eyes on Flatbush has responded by blaming my excellent doctor’s prescription (the shop also does eye exams). I have been wearing glasses for many decades, since I was 3 years old, and would NEVER get an eye exam in a store. If you have a simple prescription, you’ll probably be fine here. But if you don’t, steer clear.

Love this place. Doctor was very knowledgable and carrying. Their selection of glasses is huge. Sales associates helped me choose a pair of Dita eyeglasses for driving and it’s the best pair I had ever owned. Thanks again for you professionalism.

I was told by a sales associate I wouldn’t be receiving my trial pair of contacts because I left a Unilocal review that the owner did not approve of and, in order to get my trial contacts I would have to delete my Unilocal review! Not only is this a violation of the terms of the sale but it also violates my constitutional rights. STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE SPARE YOURSELF THE DRAMA. Seriously, if they are giving out free eye exams you still shouldn’t do business with them. Thankfully, Groupon issued me a full refund for this interaction. The Groupon Rep was exceptionally professional and mortified about the interaction I had with Eyes on Flatbush.

Truly the best Optometrist I’ve ever been to. I’ve had glasses and contacts for 15 years now, and have seen multiple doctors in different states. I randomly found this place via a Groupon deal and I feel as if the universe has shined upon me.
Firstly, the doctor specialized in the behavior of your eyes, so she will help you understand why one eye does something different than the other eye. I’ve had contacts for a long time now, but never wore them much (Acuvue Oasis) because they aren’t that great. This time around I was recommended two types and tried them out for a month and discovered a whole new brand of contact that is 10000x better than anything I’ve ever done before.
In addition, I was taught how a contact obtains build up and what you are supposed to do to clean them each night
I would recommend this place to anyone who is unhappy w their current optometrist and who wants a change. I would give them a million stars if I could
