Face the Day NY

I got married this past weekend and had the pleasure of working with the wonderful Face the Day hair and makeup team! Everything about the experience was perfect, from the prompt communication prior to the event to the actual day! They arrived at my hotel room exactly at our planned time and promptly set up their supplies and their stations. Myself, 5 bridesmaids, and my mother in law were all completed in our planned timeframe. The women were professional, yet made us all feel comfortable and listened to our visions perfectly. My makeup and hair were flawless and held up all night long through hours on the dance floor and a few happy tears. My bridesmaids all looked absolutely stunning and my mother in law, who was hesitant about getting her makeup done and looking «too made up», looked incredible and ended up totally loving it! I would highly recommend! They are fun to have around during the getting ready process and make you look and feel truly beautiful! Thank you Ellen!

Ellen I just want to once again say thank you… everyone’s makeup looked wonderful and we were ohhh so gorgeous on my wedding day.
My mother is picky when it comes to her face, my cousins don’t like makeup and my best friend is a makeup artist (didn’t want her working on my wedding day) so I was hella nervous to ensure everyone looked and felt their best. Ellen and her team came in so bubbly and full of energy (mind you this is the day after Christmas early morning hours) & got to work!!! They took their time with everyone’s face while still maintaining track of deadlines. She did my makeup first and I love the fact that I looked beautiful but still looked like myself… my skin was flawless!!! As everyone finished I saw them get up from their chair– look in the mirror and then the inner divas came out. Even my bestie was pleased!!! All night everyone commented on how amazing we all looked. I had 3 outfit changes and the makeup she did complimented all the outfits perfectly!!!
Side note: Ellen was so gracious she did my babysitter’s face & found free parking… both of these were extra costs that I didn’t have to pay & trust me it makes a difference :-)

Sybil and Eve came to my friends house the morning of my wedding and did an AMAZING job on both my hair and my makeup. I was so incredibly happy and I received many compliments throughout the day. They also did my sister’s makeup and my mother’s hair – both were superb. Even though I cry when I get emotional/​happy, my makeup stayed looking fresh and perfect all day long. Thank you so much!

Ellen and her team traveled over an hour and half to the East End of Long Island (north folk) to bring my dream of a vineyard wedding to life. Myself and my 5 bridesmaids and my mother received a combination of hair and make up services. I would admit At first the price was intimidating but the more I researched the more I was convinced that Face the Day was the right business to provide hair and makeup services for my wedding day. And I wasn’t disappointed. They arrived promptly at 7:30 and we worked for 7 hours. And I must admit that it was the best experience and set the tone for the rain serif the day. At the end of the wedding March Father Stan said he was impressed by such a beautiful wedding party. I confided in Ellen that my mother had been ill and that I wanted her to look her best because she would be reunited with friends and family members. Ellen personally took responsibility for my mothers needs. And my mother looked more beautiful than I had remembered. It still brings tears to my eyes. Ellen and her staff are the epitome of professionalism and expertise, and worth every bit of the investment.

I can’t say enough great things about Ellen and her Face the Day team. They are absolutely amazing! My mom has always been picky with makeup her whole life, I have never known her to like anyone’s attempt to do her makeup. She was miserable with her hair and makeup at my sister’s wedding and I didn’t want the same thing to happen at mine. Luckily, Ellen came to the rescue! My mom left her makeup and hair trial raving about Ellen and her team — I was absolutely shocked! I was so lucky to not only find someone to accomodate my mom, but my whole bridal party! My girls looked stunning and each of their looks fit what they wanted and their individual personalities. I was so happy with the results, and so were my girls! Although I didn’t personally get my makeup done by Face the Day, I know that I can speak for all 10 girls when I say they did a stellar job!

Ellen is amazing!!! Save my life on covering a tattoo before my wedding. She was on time and her airbrush techniques are simply amazing. My tattoo cover up lasted for 2+ days despite the humid weather. Definitely would recommend to any brides who have an unwanted tattoo! Thank you Ellen!

I did a cover up/​camouflage makeup trial with Ellen (to cover some scars) a few weeks ago and she really did quite an amazing job!!! When I inquired about her services via email she responded very promptly and was able to meet with me just a short time after. She’s extremely personable and friendly. The cover up makeup looked so natural that you really couldn’t tell that there was makeup covering my skin! I would certainly go to her again! Extraordinary skills!

Ellen did my make-​up for my September 2013 wedding, and from the very start of my trial run with her, I knew that I was in good hands. Ellen is a great listener, and after discussing what I had envisioned for my make-​up, she created a really beautiful look. Wedding make-​up artists in New York can be pricey, but Ellen’s rates are very fair… and the results are incredible! Ellen used airbrush makeup for me and my party, and everyone looked flawless. Ellen was also kind enough to refer me to my hairstylist, who was equally fantastic. She made the whole process easy, streamlined and fun. Her outstanding reviews are well-​deserved!

Ellen is THE BEST! I booked Face the Day for my wedding in May and they were fantastic. I also used Face the Day to book my hairstylist and she was great as well. Ellen is very professional and did an amazing job. She really listened to what I had in mind for the wedding. She, and her assistant, also did a great job with my bridesmaids and mother. I was astounded at how gorgeous everyone looked!
The thing that really set Ellen apart though, was going above and beyond for me. My wedding day was a bit of a disaster (rain, extraordinarily late flowers, etc) and there were some tears after I had gotten my make up done. Not only did Ellen touch me up, she followed us to the venue to make sure that I didn’t need any more touch ups during pictures. This is the woman you want in your corner on your wedding day!

Ellen was great to work with. She made me feel very comfortable from the makeup trial to the day of my wedding. She provided services for my mother & also made of honor. She made all of us look beautiful and we still looked like ourselves. The makeup lasted the whole day. She is extremely talented. Im so glad I found her!

Ellen is awesome! She did my makeup and the makeup of my 6 bridesmaids for my wedding. Everyone looked fantastic! In fact, as we were taking our wedding pictures in Madison Square Park some random stranger came up and told one of my bridesmaids «you have the best looking bridal party I have ever seen» (nobody has ever told us that any other day, so I assume it was the make-​up!)
Ellen was also a great person to have around on your wedding morning. She is confident, friendly, and relaxed… all things that you definitely want to be surrounded with on what can be a stressful morning/​day! She was also very speedy in finishing so many people’s makeup.
She was quick to respond to all of my e-​mails, and was friendly and professional throughout our interactions.
