go-to spot for fill you up latin food. steak with rice and beans is a go-to on their menu, and I love their latin burger which is smothered in some kind of spicy mayo. I do not understand why the delivery minimum is so high, but whatever, it gives me an excuse to order a side of guac or maduros. no frills for sure but delish.

If I could rate lower I would, the customer service sucks. The cashier tried to gyp my brother and then made a SCENE when he was called out on it. The food isn’t even all that good. The best thing they have is the mexi-nachos/chilaquiles/and the hot meals. Everything else I tend to stay away from. If they would work on being nicer to their customers, they would’ve got a higher rating.

Maybe its the language barrier but I find the employees here to be extremely rude. This is the third Mexican place I have been to in that vicinity and the workers are consistently mean. No thanks.

On the eve of 7÷17÷15, the customer service was okay enough. I ordered the ½ rotisserie chicken, yellow rice and black beans & a piece of fried pork(weighed by the pound). The pork actually had flavor. The rest of the food? Not so much. Sad thing is, on 7/16, the wonderful smell of garlic coming out onto the street from the restaurant almost made me forget I was in a hurry, and could not stop there to pick up any take-away. IF I go back, and that’s a BIG«if», it will likely be at a point when I forgot this very unpleasant foodie experience.

If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would. I ordered through Grubhub a chicken chipotle burrito, pork with rice and French fries. I get a call from the restaurant ten minutes before it’s due to arrive that the delivery guy rang my bell and is waiting downstairs because no one answered. No one rang my bell! So I go downstairs and no one is there. I try to call the number the restaurant called me from and there’s no answer– directs me to a message saying my message box is full. I tried calling the number listed on grubhub for the restaurant and it leads me to Grubhub, which puts me on hold and promptly hangs up. So I call Grubhub directly and they contact the restaurant(shocking how they got through) and as I’m talking to them the bell rings. It took him ten minutes to come upstairs and by that time, the burrito was so soggy, I couldn’t even lift it out of the tray. It was completely falling apart and I had to eat it with a fork and knife. Basically what I got instead of a burrito was a bowl of what would be inside one. I am thoroughly pissed and I would not recommend you even consider ordering from here.

your basic Spanish food. there is very very few resteraunt that specialize in Spanish food in Brooklyn… so naturally I have to travel 20 blocks just to get Spanish food in my area of Brooklyn. don’t get me wrong, I love jamican food, just not everyday.

This was the worst Spanish food I have ever had. Ordered delivery, charged a $ 3 delivery charge. Food came on time, but when I opened it, I was disgusted. Curdled sour cream. The food literally swims in in. Flautas were still cold inside. The quesadilla was drenched in oil. And the taco was nothing but old brown lettuce and chicken swimming in curdled sour cream. All for $ 35! I see a price tag like that and I think, there food must me good at that price. I wouldn’t have paid half the price. Food is absolutely inedible.

I have to say. This place has not let me down yet. I have read other reviews contrary to that. I get my food way before estimated delivery time and my order has always been correct and delicious. This is my go to delivery place on my days off from work. Keep up the good work guys.

The food is substandard but overpriced. The biggest problem with this place is the customer service. I have ordered from this place several times and each time they have screwed up the order(and why did I continue to order? One of the few restaurants in the neighborhood). Tonight I called to complain that the flan was frozen and inedible and that I wanted it replaced or my money back. The manager said that if I wanted the reimbursement I had to pick up. I replied that it was his responsibility to deliver the reimbursement and I added that the burrito was also not what I ordered. From there he went to say that what I ordered was not a burrito and that I could not make up my own menu, that I had an attitude, and to do him favor and never order from them again, and I wanted my money back I had to wait until the next day(even though it was still 15 minutes until closing time). He had no interest in improving the customer service and that out of hundreds of people that order from them i’m the only to complain. But if you check the reviews on grubhub, several other people have had the same experience.

The pork burrito was generally fine(good rice, huge), although the meat was tough and tasteless and it gave me stomach troubles.

Initially I liked this place. Until today when I went to buy some soup. I was next in line and an older woman came in and asked me if she could go first. I said yes. She bought a soup and I saw her pay 3.50. I bought the same item except I was charged 4.00. I asked how much was the soup and she said 3.50. So I asked where’s the rest. She said tax. So I decided to ask her why didn’t she charge the person in front of me tax as well. That’s when the manager stepped in and bull@$$)&$ his way thru my valid points. He then gave me my money just to get rid of me. I will never set foot in there again. If I could give 0stars I would give him –2. Stop robbing people.

I went for take out my first week in the neighborhood and haven’t returned since. Not tasty at all, very mediocre, and not even priced correctly for the area(they must think they are in Park Slope). Stick to Jamaican or Indian if you need take out in Prospect Park South. Latin food is, unfortunately, not reliable in this hood – not at all; stick with the islands, Caribbean or Indian culture which is strongly rooted here. Yah mon.

The highlight of my order was definitely the Horchata(drink made with cinnamon, rice, milk) Everything else was typical Latin cuisine The sandwiches looked like they were da bomb, the way they grilled the bread and all. I can’t wait for that to go in my gullet during my next visit. TIPS: — Make sure you order to stay, if you want to, because they assume you are going to go if you don’t mention — Ordering out is probably better anyways, unless you’re going in for a quick lunch. There are literally six seats. You’ll be much more comfortable at home. — If you can, call ahead. They do the cooking on the premises and you can wait awhile during the busy hours or if you have a large order

Ordered through GrubHub. My food was delivered with a side of roach! Disgusting! I don’t even know what the food looked like because the bug was crawling inside the bag that the food came in! GrubHub gave me a $ 5.00 credit and a full refund. I immediately toss the entire bag down the trash! That one star was forced!!!

Flatbush Latin Grill has become one of my favorite places to grab dinner on the way home, or to get delivery on a lazy weekend. The Menu is split between«Latin» Dishes — mostly Spanish Carribbean, and«Mexi» Dishes — Mexican dishes(that’s pretty self-evident there, I suppose — isn’t it?) I’ve not had everything on the menu, but everything I’ve had has been fantastic. My favorites from the Mexican side? The Shrimp Tacos and the Chorizo Tacos. From the Latin Side? Hands down has to be the Pernil. One of the greatest things about working in the Restaurant Industry is you get a chance to learn what just about everyone cooks at home when it comes time to make a staff — or–«Family» meal for the employees. The flavor profiles here at Flatbush Latin Grill reminds me of some of the food I’ve enjoyed most from my Mexican & Latin-American coworkers. Couple of minor complaints, The Chili Relleno is made technically correct, but it was seriously underseasoned when I got it, which was a huge disappointment(although a sprinkling of sea salt went a long way to helping it)… and a couple of times I’ve ordered Mexican Pepsi delivered and wound up with Mexican Coke(The Umbrage!) And personally, I’m not a fan of the Papalos on the Cemita, but I just pick ‘em off and then the sandwich is absolutely delicious.(But that’s the classic way to make ‘em, I can’t fault the restaurant) BUT my final recommendation is that you GOOUTANDTRYTHISPLACE. Also: get the Tres Leches.

I order from here all the time. You get plenty for you money, the food has good flavor and the service is always quick and friendly. Seriously, I’ve had to call the delivery guys back to my door cause sometimes they start walking away without their tip! Although lots of people on here have mentioned the Mexican food, they also serve Dominican food. The roast pork has delicious flavor and the rice is pretty tasty. The beans are alright, but I always compare beans to my mom’s and none ever win out(seriously, there’s no beating a Puerto Rican mom who’s a great cook lol). I’ve yet to order their breakfast, but I’m sure it’s delicious as well.

I’m kinda mixed about this place. Firstly, they have a steam table full of roasted main proteins(fish, chicken, pork, etc), then there’s a menu of Mexican offerings… burritos, tacos, etc. I ordered a pork burrito with no rice and watched the server go over to the roasted pork, pull off some large chunks, then put them on a tortilla. He then loads it up with a large amount of black beans and adds some sour cream and quac. This was served with some lettuce and pico de gallo on the side. I had to request a side of salsa, which was decent Right off the bat the burrito began disintegrating because of the wetness of the beans, so I had to revert to using a knife & fork(no biggie). But basically the whole thing was overpowered — taste-wise– by the beans. And the pork was in big pieces with crackling roasted skin, which normally I’d love on its own, but was a bit odd in terms of a burrito filling where the pork is usually more delicate. I didn’t even sense there was sour cream or guac., so I knocked off a star because of muddled sloppiness in design. But otherwise it’s a nice, clean bright place and the other offerings looked very good. They just need to work on balancing the different components of the burrito so all have a chance to shine. And having re-fried beans would be a nice alternative.

I am not in this area all that much but do enjoy coming here when I do. I usually get Double Egg or Egg and Cheese for the mornings. iT IS typical egg and cheese on a roll for $ 3.00. From the Latin Corner part of the place I usually get the Roast Chicken with Rice and Beans for $ 6.50. –It is really good, really worth coming here when I am around visiting friends by Church Avenue. Cons Sometimes on weekends, the train to get here is really fucked up so it will cost you an extra 40 or so minutes than a normal day. I guess that is about all the negative, so far the other food I have received from here– I enjoyed. Sweet Plantains are good here too as a side order. –Flatbush Latin Grill– Thumbs up from me.
