Flushing Dental Associates is not a very high tech dentists office. I booked and appointment here for an exam and cleaning, my first in more than 5 years. When I entered the office I was immediately horrified. The inside of the office is something out of the past. The interior is dark and dusty, and the dental equipment is really old. They use really old school x-ray equipment as well. The dentist himself, Dr. Elbasty, was nice, but not exactly hard working. He never informed me that he doesn’t do any of the work himself. The dental hygienist took my x-rays and told me the dentist would be in soon. It took him over a half hour to see me. All he did was tap on my teeth and told me to follow him. He then walked down the hall and vanished into his office. The receptionist then informed me that another person would have to do the cleaning, because Dr. Elbasty doesn’t do them. But that this other mysterious person wasn’t in the office, and only worked two or three days a week. So I would have to come back another day. My appointment that day was a complete waste of time, and I left feeling frustrated and let down. Needless to say, I went home and made some phone calls to find a proper dentist. Luckily I found one close by on Meserole Street. If you are considering using Flushing Dental Associates and Dr. Elbasty as your new dentist, keep looking. There are better dentist offices in the area who are more high tech and won’t waste your precious time.
