I’ve been shopping here since moving into my new apartment and it’s been a pleasant experience. For being a small store it’s well stoked and not terribly overpriced. Also the are very close to the subway.

There was a fire in the basement at Fruits-A-Plenty on January 18, 2014… thankfully, no one was injured, as the store was closed. The awesome owners are working very hard to reopen as soon as possible!

This place is like family to me. Each and every employee makes it a point to say hello, a kind word for my baby. The quality of the produce is top-notch, and for a small place, they actually have a great selection of kosher items to choose from. I will definitely be a loyal customer here for as long as it’s open.

For a vegan cooking for a family of 5 in the aftermath of a natural disaster Fruits-A-Plenty is a port in a storm. Today, 3 days after Hurricane Sandy, all the supermarkets are closed, there’s no gas for our cars, and it’s time for everyone to check out their local bodega or Asian fruit store. I found that Fruits-A-Plenty has lots of gorgeous fresh(but alas, not organic) produce of all types, nuts, frozen veggies, tons of grocery items, breads, even tofu and 32-ounce containers of good-quality vegetable broth. It’s amazing how much they pack into that place, and they even have mini-shopping carts. Another plus is the fast-moving checkouts. I’ve occasionally shopped at this store before, and I remembered that it would probably meet all my needs today, and I was totally right.

I like this place. The people are always friendly and willing to help you find things. Their prices are high. But that is expected for convenience stores. I find that they usually have everything I am looking for when I need a quick shopping trip They also deliver for free which is great.

i love Fruits of Plenty on Kings Highway, and always make a point of stopping in when I’m the neighborhood. They have things like watermelon in January that is dirt cheap, and still sell 5 navel oranges for $ 1.19. Berries are particularly inexpensive. They also sell lunch meats, yogurt, bread, and just about every other staple you need, but at considerable savings. I’ve never had a problem with employees and find the staff to be friendly and efficient. I sometimes shop for senior citizens who are on a budget and have food stamps. Fruit of Plenty always accepts their card with no problems. The manager is always around watching everything, which is very comforting as a shopper. I can also ask an employee where something is located, and they always point it out, even if it is right in front of my eyes. This is my fruit and vegetable store of choice, for me and those I shop for. Great quality, very low prices, no hassle employees, and a manager who keeps things running smoothly.
