Now this place name is Mitoushi! I used to go to other locations, but maybe just because they got busy, they not that good as before. I was surprised how amazing this Mitoushi spot is! Food was delicious and very fresh! Their waiter Anthony was very friendly and nice! Finally I found really good sushi place in our area! Definitely I will come back and will recommend to all my friends to try them

Really? Warm fish, hard rice, corny Russian dudes telling Brighton beach war stories to a waitress who doesn’t care. Spare us please. I ordered a sushi platter and veg dumplings. Not good. Change your oil. Fresh rice might help. Nice restrooms though

~~~WARNING — CHANGEDNAMEANDMENU!!!~~~ We used to like Fuciaana a lot — sushi was good, on par with Chikurin and other places, albeit costing a little more, and crystal grill was awesome — especially sea bass, porterhouse and squid. When I saw they changed their name, I figured, ok, no big deal, as long as their food is the same. Then I realized they also changed the menu, and crystal grill was no more — ATALL. They didn’t move it to the kitchen, they just did away with it altogether — now it’s just general Mitoushi menu. I tried their hibachi shrimp and scallop combination — closest approximation to what I wanted — and it was exactly«a-ok» in Unilocal speak. My party was very disappointed with their choices as well. Without the crystal grill — or rather without the grill dishes — there is no point for me to come here. Same sushi quality can be obtained from a multitude of other places in South Brooklyn, and cheaper. Unfortunately, we will not be back.
Just changed their name to Mitoushi! But I enjoy coming to this spot specifically for the décor. Most sushi places in south Brooklyn don’t give me a nice feel as this one does. The staff is super friendly and the sushi is always fresh tasting. I would continue coming back here.
Great sushi and that. Been going here since they opened highly recommend it. Once suggestion I would give is they should get a full bar then it would be even more amazing.
Tried this place for the first time last night, and can definitely say I was pleasantly surprised. Very fresh fish, quick service, and delicious sake. The décor is really pretty, they sat us next to a small waterfall and that made the experience that much more enjoyable. Really loved this place! Will definitely be coming back.
Went there last week with some friends. It was nice and quiet, which is a big plus for me — I thought that they might have loud music as in the case with some other places. Décor is pleasing as well. We ordered sunomono, which was OK but I wasn’t a big fan of due to fish cut up very small and there being too much tuna and too little of everything else; sashimi appetizer which was good, and a spicy salmon roll which was tastier than usual. We also ordered the crystal grill 4-people special(steak tips, one piece of porterhouse, chicken, sea bass, shrimp, calamari, baby octopus and onions). It comes with either fried rice or noodles; rice was awesome! Your server heats up the crystal grill plate on your table and cooks the food one by one the way you want(med rare, med, med well, well-done), changing the grill plate after each type of meat. The presentation was nice, everything was fresh and tasted great. Servers were attentive and accommodating. We’ll surely be back to try more rolls and more grill items!
Really nice décor, great atmosphere, and awesome service. I went with a group of friends to try this spot out and it exceeded my expectations. There’s parking right outside the restaurant which makes it really convenient. They also have ipad as menus which is really cool. The staff were friendly and funny. The food came out well portioned and delicious. Definitely recommend this place to family and friends. Will come again!
Great Décor! The owners of Mitoushi and a bunch of other sushi spots throughout south Brooklyn have done it again. Made a cool and at the same time good sushi place. This particular one comes with ocean grill which can simply be described as a self cooked grill that you see in a lot of Korean bar b q places. The place is good service is good the atmosphere is not really popping as their other spots but still slightly better than an average sushi spot. Maybe it is because they are located on a ground floor of a shopping center that has subway(which was robbed recently at gun point) and a cleaners next door to it in the middle of Coney Island Avenue. They carry umi shots that are good if you like that sort of thing and a bunch of cool things for the kids to eat if needed. Def worth trying out. In reality they get a 3.5 stars!
Was excited to try the crystal BBQ. The food is OK but the vent is terrible. We sat by the kitchen and it was freezing. I believe someone opened the kitchen back door. I tried a handroll and it was pretty good. I will go back to try the sushi instead of BBQ next time. The server was attentive.
This is another one of the slightly fancier restaurants in the neighborhood. Their décor and interior is very appealing and interesting. They also had a good range in their menu items. The electronic menu on the tablet was also a first for me, but equally nice. I came here with my cousin and sibling sometime past noon as a catch up lunch and hang out session. It wasn’t that busy so we got by pretty quick. The soup and salads were a good size. My cousin and I ordered additional salads, and they were also fairly large. Compared to the Sheepshead Bay restaurants, this location is on the more expensive side. It wasn’t a problem for me, though, because I felt that the food was pretty good! My brother had a bento box which filled him up at a fair price. My cousin and I also got stuffed with our order. We had a good time hanging out here. It was spacious and felt like a good place to be at. The bathroom was also pretty! For my first visit here, I’d say it was pretty good. Our waiter was attentive and nice. The food was good. The place is very spacious and nice interior. The price isn’t too cheap or too expensive, it is fair. I will very likely come back in the future.
We tried Fucianna because it’s on iDine. We were given a couple of e-menus on tablets and also traditional menus. The e-menus are searchable by keyword, however we didn’t want to use them because they were greasy with the fingerprints of other patrons. That’s a shame since everything else about the place is very clean. The décor is modern and tasteful. A section of tables, separated by a railing from the main dining room, would be nice to reserve for a small semi-private party. The music is soft and unobtrusive, and a large TV plays sports, silently with subtitles. The restaurant is located in a tiny strip mall with a Subway and a laundromat. Each store claims the few parking spots directly in front of it, which are clearly labeled. Fucianna has only 2 spots, but street parking isn’t hard to find. The staff were very polite and helpful. They happily made substitutions, e.g. particular fish on sushi combo dinners, or soba noodles instead of udon. Although the portions were large and attractively plated, and the food was a good value, nobody in my group(teens, adults, seniors) was hooked on the taste of anything. We all felt it was ordinary with nothing outstandingly good or bad. So it basically satisfied our hunger but not our palette. FYI, more reviews for Fucianna are at , until Unilocal combines the entries.
Pretty good. Decided to order from here for the first time and try a few dishes. The Pad Thai was very good, but could have used a bit more fresh lemon included with it. The Malaysian Style Kung Bo Squid was very interesting and very good. The Hibachi Shrimp and Steak was pretty good, but the steak was dry. The amount of dryness of the steak makes me think that even fresh at the restaurant, it would not be that great. The Hibachi Fried Rice was good but also kind of dry. Overall, the hibachi items could have been prepared better. The prices of the meats and other entrees are a few dollars higher than some other notable Japanese restaurants in the area, like Chikurin. The prices of the sushi, sashimi, and sushi rolls are insane high! Twice or more the price of other restaurants for the plainest sushi rolls. Definitely will never order sushi from them. Delivery was as expected. Not too quick but not taking too long of a while either.
The newest Asian-Fusion spot in Brooklyn. I came here for a large birthday so I may have had a not-so-typical experience. When I arrived, there was already food to nibble on at the table. Wide assortment of Asian-Fusion appetizers, hot dishes, sushi rolls, and crystal grill entrees available. I would compare the crystal grill portion to a hibachi grill. Except, instead of a standard grill, it’s a crystal circle. Unfortunately there’s no fancy tricks involved. Just some flipping of meats. Everything was edible but nothing stood out. On the positive side, there’s a parking lot(albeit small) which is a rare find in Brooklyn. BYOB, which his always a plus.
