Terrible store, over priced with a terrible wine selection. Got a $ 15 bottle of red that tasted extremely bitter, tasted more like a $ 3 cooking wine. I’ve compared prices, they sell their top of the line scotch for 30 percent more. When I asked them about it, they said other stores might be getting them «illegally» and not paying state taxes. Wright and goebel near by was excellent but now they’re closed. Not going back here again.

A little on the expensive side but it is Brooklyn, so I might be used to Long Island prices.
The place is really nice and the owner and workers are very friendly.
They even deliver!

I looked high and low for a wine store that would deliver to us in downtown Brooklyn. Not only was there no delivery fee at G&I, but the man who answered at G&I was willing to recommend a great bottle of wine for a chilly Fall night. The delivery time was not too bad, and the man who delivered the wine was very pleasant. Overall, I would definitely order from G&I Wine & Spirits again.

Friendly neighborhood spot to pick up some libations. Much needed in this area. Large selection of bottles and very helpful staff. You get a discount if you check in on Unilocal,too! I stopped by and they had a liquor tasting in the store, always a plus! ;)

Vast selection of wine and spirits. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Convenient location in Downtown Brooklyn. If you open an account with them, you earn points to save on a future bottle.

We live in the Brooklyner, and this liquor store is essentially across the street. That’s not the only reason we frequent it so often, though. We love G & I because:
1) It has a discount program. Give them your phone number, and after so many purchases, they’ll credit you $ 10.
2) They occasionally have liquor representatives over at their store for tastings. If you get on their email list, they’ll let you know when big tastings occur.
3) They have an amazing selection of wine and liquor.
4) You can order liquor from them online through the Minibar app. But if you call the store with your order and phone number, they’ll deliver and you’ll get points towards your discount. And they’re super fast with their delivery.
5) The staff are always nice and willing to help if you need it.
6) Did I mention that it’s right across the street from us?
I very rarely give out 5 stars, because to me that means there’s no room for improvement. G & I Wine & Spirits have earned their 5 stars.

I haven’t yet been to their location in person, but G&I is always the store that fulfills my minibar orders and they are amazing! My apartment can’t be less than 4 – 5 minutes away from the store by bike, but my orders always arrive in less than 15 minutes, and often in as little as 7! The delivery person is always extremely friendly and cheerful, so I imagine the rest of the staff is just as great. I can’t wait to visit the store.
